Sterile Compounding and Oversight

We will discuss the process of sterile compounding, USP 797 and how it relates to actual standards and operational procedures for Sterile Compounding. Dr. Williamson will discuss the role of the FDA or the State Board of Pharmacy in the oversight of Sterile Compounding and inspections of Compounding Pharmacies. The training/educational requirements for pharmacy techs and others who compound and distribute these medications is outlined. Lately, Dr. Williamson will recommend questions to ask when considering outsourcing products from a compounding pharmacy.

The Implications of the Supreme Court ACA Ruling for Healthcare Providers and Stakeholders
