Highlander Rewatched

When Anne forms a completely inexplicable friendship with a Russian h-mule, she and Richie land squarely in the cross hairs of the immortal Kirstov--- a mediocre drug dealer that pushes even worse art. The Rewatchers lose count of the number of times the work "Cossack" is used, hock fat loogies on the photos of their enemies, and (for the tenth time) ask for more Richie.

After a pack of Deathwish goons (commonly referred to as the Pecan Sandies) kill the mortal husband of the mighty Pictish warrior Ceirdwyne (? Cidwyne? Steve Irdwyne - crook-adile hunter?), Duncan must stop her from going on a face painted killing spree, while facing the ghosts of his own murderous past. The Rewatchers talk like Batman to rattle the cages of Paris, gripe about the teenage pickpocket/human oil slick Paolo, and try to figure out who is taking the night back from whom.

In the exciting(ish) conclusion of Highlander: The American Dream, the villainous Hooke, stripping down to a single dimension, takes a break from being a one-eyed serial killer to lure Connor and Osta into a trap with the help of the Kurgan, while beloved(ish) secretary Rachel retrieves Chekhov's gun to hunt down the puzzling non-Watcher stalking Connor. The Rereaders write some questionable fan fiction, discuss the meaning of the American Dream, and try to figure out a mysterious cameo by Marty McFly.

In the first part of this comic book series about Connor MacLeod and his allegedly popular secretary, Rachel, an apparently alcoholic Mac teams up with a rules obsessed priest to fight John Hooke, a rabid confederate soldier trying his best to be more evil and unhinged than the Kurgan. The Rewatchers discuss some apparently new conventions surrounding holy ground (spoiler alert- it's meaningless... in this comic book, not in a cosmic sense), unpack Connor's genuine obsession with wrestling, and delve into the artwork with some tiny presidential hands and smushed faces.

After immortal voice modulator Kalas follows Duncan to Paris, he sets his sights on Duncan's old friend Hugh Fitzcairn and cooks up (pun intended) a scheme to ruin the Englishman's life with a dangerous combination of computer hacking, creepy romantic rivals, and murder. The Rewatchers learn the hard way that dueling is not allowed within city limits, question Duncan's employment choices as a henchman for the Doge (oh wow! such leg breaking!), and brace themselves for the triumphant return of French accent erasing ADR.

The Rewatchers laugh about Kage's melty face, write their own baloney fan fic, tiptoe through the Spanish Civil War with some unlikely Communists, and solve human morality forever.

It's GAME TIME at the Rewatchers second live performance at the Philadelphia Podcast Festival! Rewatchers Keith and Eamon square off to identify some crazy Highlander quotes (TEA?! I hate tea!), while real fans (seriously, they exist!) try to guess the outlandishly high prices of their favorite Highlander merchandise (we're looking at you programmable mouse pads).
