  • 705 Book Reflection - This is Marketing: You Can’t Be Seen Until You Learn to See by Seth Godin

    29/11/2018 Duração: 10min

This is Marketing Written by Leigh Martinuzzi Seth Godin is the marketing guru – the king of marketing. He sure knows his stuff. As I stated in a recent review of his podcast Akimbo, aside from extreme marketing prowess what makes Seth so attractable is his ability to communicate both elegantly and clearly. It is one of the traits that I truly admire about Seth. This book captures the brilliance of Seth’s knowledge on marketing in an easy to read format that will make us humble marketers or sceptics reframe what marketing is and why it exists. Seth defines what marketing is and what it isn’t. With work that has transformed how successful entrepreneurs and businesses communicate with their people, their tribes, the market, I would suggest Seth is a worthy source to learn from. Please enjoy this week's book reflection on The Hidden Why podcast.

  • 697 Book Reflection - The Brendon Show a Podcast by Brendon Burchard

    29/11/2018 Duração: 09min

The Brendon Show Since reading one of Brendon’s earlier books years ago, The Motivation Manifesto, a book that suggests a key human motive in the pursuit of life is personal freedom, I have found his speech and use of words encouraging. A reason why I remain a subscriber of Brendon's work. Although I admit, I can only handle so much at a time because I find it sometimes a little repetitive and Brendon sometimes over the top and unnecessarily enthusiastic. The Brendon Show remains on my podcast playlist as a go-to source of inspiration, positivity and occasionally the odd tip, trick and practices to help me on my journey forward. Please enjoy this month's podcast reflection on The Hidden Why podcast.

    07/11/2018 Duração: 01h04min

The Future & Tech In this interview, I speak with Futurist Matt Ward about Exponential Technologies and Where We are Headed. People talk about AI and blockchain, Crispr and VR yet the vast majority of folks do not realize how quickly the future is coming or which industries will have the largest impact. Worse still, many believe their futures to be much like their pasts and yet the science, especially when it comes to ageing and AI is advancing exponentially faster than people expect. Individuals that see the future before it is here are able to better prepare and succeed as the world changes. We discuss why and how exponential technologies will affect health, longevity and humanity. Matt's greatest concern is that almost globally, society, politics and the cultures we exist in are limited by short-term thinking. Perhaps the best way forward with an attempt to avoid any major catastrophes is to encourage more conversations like this one. Enjoy!  Guest Bio Matt Ward runs an investment syndicate, hosts top
