It's always fun talking to Dan he has a great creative comedic mind.    Boston Comedian Dan Boulger, this was the set that made him Boston Comedy Festival Champion! About Dan: Dan Boulger began his comedy career in late 2004 only one week into his freshman year of college. Quickly becoming a favorite in the New England area Boulger started performing nationally after winning the Boston Comedy Festival in 2006 at the age of 20. He has since received recognition from both audiences and industry alike having performed on Comedy Central, The BBC, and the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival, and most recently has made multiple appearances on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen. Due to his age, he is an ideal college performer and has appeared on several high profile college tours such as the Comedy Central Live and College Humor Live tours and has been able to be the supporting act for many famous comedians including Bill Burr, Louis CK, and Zach Galifianakis.

Eddie Brill has a long relationship with the Boston Comedy Festival since our inception. He has an amazing career both as a performer and as a talent booker for The David Letterman show as well as the Johnny Carson Festival in Nebraska. 

I got the opportunity to have a conversation with Erin Spencer about being the first transgender finalist in the BCF competition.  Who is Erin? Erin Spencer is a Boston-based comic whose dispatches from life as a single transgender woman have quickly established her as a distinctive voice in New England's comedy scene. Her wry takes on navigating everyday life as a trans woman has entertained audiences of all backgrounds and political persuasions. She's performed at The Comedy Studio, Dick Doherty's Comedy Den, Vermont Comedy Club, University of Massachusetts Boston, University of New Hampshire, Lesley University and she was a finalist in the 2018 Boston Comedy Festival.

It was fun to finally talk with the first female champion of the Boston Comedy Festival competition Nancy Norton. about Nancy : Nancy Norton is a regular headliner at Comedy Works in Denver, Colorado. You may have seen her on various TV showcases over the years: from doing standup on “Evening at the Improv” on A & E, or in her one-woman show, “The Yellowish-Green Girl” on PBS and featured on Nickmom Night Out on Nickelodeon.

Alex came to us from Utah and was amazing he is someone to watch he has had over 15 million views on his Drybar festival. He was a finalist at the Boston Comedy Festival. About Alex: Like Rocky Balboa, Alex Velluto is the son of an Italian immigrant and brings the same intensity, will, and drive to the comedy stage. In 2016, Alex was voted ‘Best Comedian’ by City Weekly Magazine. He was named “Best of Fest” at the inaugural Golden Spike Comedy Festival, and is the winner of the Finger Lakes Comedy Festival in Ithaca, NY. Alex is a regular at Wiseguys Comedy Club where he has headlined and worked with some of the biggest names in comedy. Fourteen years ago I went to a club called Rooster T Feathers and we did an audition in Sunnyvale, California and picked an incredibly funny and talented comedian from a line up of incredibly funny and talented comedians and he came to Boston and beat out 96 incredibly talented and funny comedians to become another Boston ComedyFestival Champion his name is Ryan Stout and I was thrilled to pin him down to talk about how the BCF kicked his career into a higher gear and how he has evolved and grown into one of the top comedians working in the USA today. He just finished his third stand-up comedy album, recorded LIVE, in front of an audience of complete strangers, will soon be in the consumer-sphere. Steve Sweeney talks to me about the premiere of his new film "Sweeney Killing Sweeney". Steve is staring in a film about him going to war with his own comedic characters. This will be one of the biggest comedy events of the year in Boston. Co-starring with Steve in this film is a who's who of comedy: Jonathan Katz, Tony V, Steven Wright, Lenny Clarke, Frank Santorelli, Bobby Slaton and Nick Di Paulo among others. This premiere promises to be a who's show of Boston celebrities coming out to be part of the premiere. The film was written by Bill Braudis and directed by Lisa Aimola. This year the Boston Comedy Festival is celebrating comedians whose talent was locally grown and nationally recognized. This year Boston the Boston Comedy Festival is awarding Robert Kelly who grew up in Medford and cut his comedy teeth in Boston will be the recipient of the Comedian of the year award. Robert Has gone on to play Louie Cks brother in a sitcom, He played Denis Leary's drummer in Sex drugs and Rock and Roll, Robert has been on Comedy Central and is a National touring comedian. For the real comedy aficionados little-known trivia Robert once was a roommate with Boston Comedy Giant Bill Burr who was a past recipient of BCF Comedian of the year.   I did this episode in the entry way of a coffee shop so my voice has an eco over all though Robert is always a fun and funny interview I hope you enjoy it.
