Welcome back to the work week from Joe Mathieu and WGBH’s Early Edition. The clocks have been set back and the cold is officially here. How are you adjusting with the early darkness and chilly temps? Snow making has commenced up North for all the skiers out there. The Patriots are undefeated no longer after getting manhandled by the Ravens down in Baltimore and for once Angry Dad has a right to live up to his name. We made it to Friday. Joe Mathieu and WGBH’s Early Edition team get you ready for the weekend on a wicked weather morning with a lot of wind, rain and leaves out there for your drive in to work. Lots of homes without power this morning as well. We’ve got trick or treating tales to regale you with, as well as a big day in DC that won’t be forgotten any time soon. The “Naked Guy” statue is on the move this weekend, and we’ve got a few of the local highlights for the weekend. Happy Friday everyone.

The Red Sox are officially no longer the World Series Champions, as we congratulate the Washington Nationals on taking this year’s title. Big impeachment vote on tap today down in DC. Good Tuesday Morning from Joe Mathieu and WGBH’s Early Edition team. It’s Halloween week and unfortunately the weather won’t be cooperating… cold and wet it will be. But some young patients at Children’s Hospital got an early treat from the cast of Toy Story aka the Boston Bruins. Plus we discuss why robots scare Joe, and Flavortown, USA is finally coming to Boston, and we need to make sure we get out there and meet Guy Fieri. Your work week continues on! ’

Feels like a Monday out there this morning… wake up to it with Joe Mathieu and WGBH’s Early Edition. Milestone win for the Patriots in Foxboro on Sunday… even “Angry Dad” wasn’t quite so angry about it. The largest Celtic gets a winter coat that could warm up half of Boston. Meanwhile at the World Series in DC last night, the crowd was less than welcoming to POTUS and the first lady. Thanks for starting your work week with WGBH.

We made it to Friday… well most of have. The early fall cold and flu bugs have taken Joe Mathieu from us on this Friday… so WGBH’s Aaron Schachter is filling in for us and taking us in to the weekend. A lot of sports on tap including the Celtics home opener, but don’t bother watching the Patriots on Sunday, because according to one Cleveland Browns player, the outcome is already predetermined. Elijah Cummings will be laid to rest in Baltimore today, and we’re following some breaking news of a teacher’s strike in Dedham. Happy Thursday from Joe Mathieu and the WGBH Early Edition team. The Celtics tip-offed their season last night in Philly and despite the loss coach Brad Stevens is still optimistic. Colorado is apparently getting it’s own wall… why? Never no mind, it was all just a “joke”. And the Boston gondola’s are gone before they ever got off the ground. Thanks for joining us this morning!

Welcome to Wednesday morning. Joe Mathieu is feeling a little under the weather but that doesn’t stop him or WGBH’s Early Edition crew from delivering. Bruins get a win against a rival last night… Celtics season starts tonight too. Brookline residents are complaining about a thriving business in their neighborhood and want to see changes. And Uber drivers and riders will have to adhere to some new rules when travelling to Logan Airport. Shake off the rust with Early Edition and WGBH!

Welcome to Tuesday and WGBH’s Early Edition. Be careful out there this morning, a lot of fog if you’re commuting in early. Some groggy eyes will be on the road as everyone likely stayed up late to watch the Patriots roll to another victory, this time down in New York against the Jets. There’s Keytar Bear news and Karen is excited. And Joe is really excited by the new Star Wars trailer and doesn’t care who knows it. Thanks for joining us on WGBH this Tuesday morning.
