Big day at State House for the whole team, where it felt a bit like a field trip, including a grand tour of the balcony. We discuss the “Teagle” and it’s origins and the cod vs the mackerel. The impeachment hearings continued yesterday and included a protester in the galley. Celtics won last night in impressive fashion, and a man named Snoop visited the Worcester area yesterday. There’s a little celebration around these parts as we enjoy the 2nd anniversary of WGBH’s Early Edition. Tough reentry this week after an amazing weekend… but welcome back to Monday from Joe Mathieu and the WGBH Morning Edition team. A near perfect late Spring weather weekend in early January is gone, but we all appreciated the break from winter and we took full advantage of it. Who among us hasn’t jumped on a car hood after a night of drinking? And up in NH we now have a Libertarian candidate, and we kind of like his platform. And the threats have ratcheted up as we face the possibility of another conflict in the Middle East. Strap yourselves in, the week is just getting started. We thank everyone who helped out while we were out, but it’s good to get the band back together. Joe catches you up on the holidays and everything that went down since he’s been gone.
