Episode 35 | One Year Alcohol Free!
03/03/2020 Duração: 37minWell, I did it! One year ago today I sat at a beautiful dinner with my husband in Punta Cana and had my last class of white wine. I knew that it was my last, and it didn't even taste good going down because I was so ready to be done with it. I told him I didn't want to drink anymore and asked him if he could be okay with that. He said yes, of course. And we went from there. What started as an experiment has turned into one of the most joyful choices I've ever made despite the really heavy and hard bumps in the road and difficult moments to navigate. Today I celebrate having made it one year. I celebrate having prioritized myself in this way, ripping the lid off of everything I thought I knew and believed and could do in life, and creating a life more colorful and beautiful without alcohol than I could have ever imagined it could be. Thank you for celebrating with me! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/becausewhynotpodcast/support

Episode 34 | Midlife Awakening
29/02/2020 Duração: 44minMIDLIFE is not a dirty word! And it's not shameful, embarrassing, or depressing. It's a true statement of fact for those of us 40+. Why not embrace it? Even after 20 years of doing one thing and thinking I had "arrived", there was an itch inside of me telling me I had farther to go, new mountains to climb, uncomfortable changes to make and some serious soul excavation to do in order to be truly happy. How about you? This episode is for you if you're a woman of a certain age, a mom, a partner, a human who is in the middle of her life and wanting more. Wanting to shift mindset, reach goals, love life. If not now, when? Don't call it a crisis. It's an awakening! Episode 33 | To Keep Growing
20/02/2020 Duração: 41minHad anyone tried unplugging 2020 and plugging it back in again? Ha! This year has been a bit of a doozy already. Maybe a lot of Mercury In Retrograde? Or maybe it's personal and not cosmic. Regardless, we've got to keep hope alive! There's always Bravo, cookies, or something to ease the pain for a moment until we realize that green vegetables make us feel better and, more importantly, we've got everything we need inside of us. There may be dark days. Weeks even. That's ok! You're not alone and it won't last. "...keep growing, silently and earnestly, through your whole development; you couldn't disturb it any more violently than by looking outside and waiting for outside answers to questions that only your innermost feeling, in your quietest hour, can perhaps answer."-RM Rilke, Letters To A Young Poet --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/becausewhynotpodcast/support

Episode 32 | It's Like You're My Mirror
02/02/2020 Duração: 45minSome days are just hard and there's no way around it. A perfect storm of being exhausted, overworked, overbooked, and spiritually depleted can lead to a painful meltdown. And did for Grace. But you can come back from it, and half the battle is acknowledging that it happened. Everyone in our lives is some kind of a reflection of ourselves and who we do and don't want to be. Most powerfully, our children. They are also our teachers. And if we stop to really hear what they have to say to us about who we are, we may receive our most significant messages yet. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/becausewhynotpodcast/support

17/01/2020 Duração: 39minYou know what they say: We're only as sick as our secrets. Whatever you are not acknowledging is in control of you. We all tell lies. Big ones, little ones, white ones. But WHY do we lie? Especially to ourselves? What does it say about the way we feel about ourselves and our need to meet others' expectations of us? We can't live authentically if we are perpetuating lies -- big lies. Episode 26 | If You Don't Post It, Did It Even Really Happen?
06/12/2019 Duração: 39minSocial Media. What a blessing! What a curse! It's such a significant part of the world we live in and the way in which we communicate today. And yet, are we placing too much importance on it? Are we basing our own self worth on the number of likes we are receiving? How do we change our behavior or is that even necessary? There don't seem to be any easy answers but being more mindful about how and when we post and our personal relationship with social media is certainly one worth exploring in order that we feel more happy and connected in real life. https://podcasts.google.com/?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9yc3MuYXJ0MTkuY29tL29wcmFoLXN1cGVyc291bC1jb252ZXJzYXRpb25z&episode=Z2lkOi8vYXJ0MTktZXBpc29kZS1sb2NhdG9yL1YwL2ZadkJOQjI3enZVRkM1aUUtUU5kVDZsc0NMblFJZHRLZFlDbDgzNjZXU3c Email me: gracebeasoncoaching@gmail.com --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/becausewhynotpodcast/support

Episode 25 | Self Doubt & Imposter Syndrome
22/11/2019 Duração: 32minDo you ever feel like an imposter in your own life? Like, who do I think I am to be doing or saying or feeling this thing? Who is going to believe me if I don't believe myself? Self doubt creeps in when we are listening to the fear our ego is feeling rather than letting our true selves, our inner brings, our hearts lead the way. Hitting the proverbial "wall" is normal. Identifying what you need to do to take a breath and move forward without self-criticism or toxic thoughts is crucial. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/becausewhynotpodcast/support

We are deserving of every bit of SELF CARE we create for ourselves as moms and women. Can we make more of an effort to slow down, breathe, be mindful, be kind to ourselves and give ourselves what we need?
