In 2006 praised writer Steven Moffat returned to Doctor Who with The Girl in the Fireplace and yet again created an amazing episode that is one of the highlights of the season. With Moffat's usual storytelling genius, we saw unfold before us a romance, mystery and adventure full of scares. This is the first of a new mini series within our podcast series where we take a look at our favorite stories from Doctor Who. In 1980 a Doctor Who episode called Shada was to air featuring Tom Baker as the Doctor. This story was written by Douglas Adams and looked to be the best of the season BUT a strike prevented the story from ever being completed. Years later after several attempts at a release the original living cast return to complete the story along with new animation. What did our group think about this holy grail of Doctor Who stories?
