The latest round of harsh words between President Trump and the Intelligence Community reminds me of the last time an American President threatened to destroy the CIA. Here's a spoiler alert... it didn't end well for the 35th President of the United States. (BTW... it's not CURRENT members of the intelligence community who are speaking out against Trump, but rather former Obama toadies and foot soldiers who are flapping their gums!)

The MSM is circling the wagons around the three lettered agencies this morning after President Trump seemed to take Russian President Putin's word that Russia did not infiltrate the 2016 election. But is it POSSIBLE that the three lettered agencies have LIED to us, to keep the "cold-war" alive? (nad BILLIONS of dollars going into the coffers) We spent the entire hour talking about lies, liars and deception.

As President Trump meets face-to-face with Vlad Putin, we played a 1980 interview from a young Donald Trump where he shared the most important thing the US needed from other countries around the world... R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Plus, the Dems are marching "to the left, to the left. to the left" leaving what's left of mainstream Democrats behind.

President Trump doesn't wait... at a breakfast welcoming members of NATO, he makes it clear who is the BIG DOG. Meanwhile, Elizabeth takes a victory lap for her prediction that Lisa Page would be a no-show in front of Congress.

Mystery is solved... we know President Trump's pick for the Supreme Court is Judge Brett Kavanaugh... so let the whiny protests begin.

There's a "right side" of an issue, and a "wrong side"... Elizabeth breaks down the mess on the US/Mexico border. You might be surprised at who she believes is to blame and why... well, maybe not!

The calendar indeed does say July 4th, 2018, but that's simply a date.  If you think about it, the date itself is actually kinda meaningless.  What IS important about today (and everyday) is the concept of AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE.  Today marks the anniversary of the founding of this nation... when an amazing collection of thinkers, dreamers and doers cast off the shackles of a foreign government and declared that people of this land would be free forevermore.  The men (and women) that we now see as The Founders, pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor so that we might be free.  The Dougherty Report celebrates Independence Day with some thoughts about this holiday.  You'll also hear an interview from the archives regarding immigration and proves the media is a bunch of liars and hypocrites.  Finally, some thoughts about one of the candidates for the vacant Supreme Court position. In eight years, the pendulum (and slogan) changed from "Hope and Change" to "RESIST" and the shift could spell big trouble for the Dems. They'll be the first to tell you their party is a big umbrella and everyone is welcomed, but now a small, young, and loud faction of the party could well cause it to fracture.

A recap of the weekend protests and the news isn't good.  Just two days before we celebrate our independence from Great Britain, it feels like America is on the verge of a second civil war, this time fighting the pull towards socialism.

It's Monday... that brings a recap of the worst of the weekend "news programs" and some additional thoughts.

Elizabeth's one day strike regarding the "kids in a cage" manufactured news event is over and she is back in her chair.  A recap of the Executive Order that President Trump pinched his nose and signed yesterday.  We also talked about that DOJ employee who caused such a scene at a Washington DC restaurant that the Secretary of Homeland Security had to leave. What is wrong with liberals?

Is it 2018 or 1968?  We are fighting with each other and neither either side is willing to compromise for the better of the country.  In '68 the fighting was over the US involvement in Vietnam... today it's over the mess at the southern border of the US.  Fifty years later, the far left and far right are pulling the rest of us into their fight!

The IG Report is out... and the deeper you dig, the more you see that politics DID play a role, not only in the bogus Hillary Clinton email investigation... but also in  this report itself.  That's because the judicial system in America that used to be apart and above politics, has been pulled down into the mess.

There's not been a show like this in a long time.  Elizabeth and Michael did not agree on ANYTHING! It all started with the Sunday talk shows and pictures of kids being separated from their parents... we disagreed about that.  Then we talked about immigration in general, and again, no agreement there.  We ended the show talking about the proposal to split California into three states... what a shock... complete disagreement.

So much good news right in front of us and on the horizon.  Why can't liberals and progressives just be happy for America?

One of the first big interviews Elizabeth conducted was with Anthony Bordain, so the news of his passing hit her hard this morning.  We shared that interview.  Locally here in Orlando, families of the victims and survivors of the Pulse Nightclub shooting have filed a lawsuit against the city of Orlando, claiming more lives could have been saved had the police moved in quicker.  We spoke with a survivor of that attack shortly after it happened and parts of the timeline still don't seem to match up.

Fifty years after Bobby Kennedy was shot at The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, there are more questions than answers.  Now, RFK Jr. has announced that he has met with Sirhan Sirhan and believes him to be innocent of firing the fatal shot that killed his father.  We discussed and gave you a "What If" scenario to consider.
