The calendar indeed does say July 4th, 2018, but that's simply a date.  If you think about it, the date itself is actually kinda meaningless.  What IS important about today (and everyday) is the concept of AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE.  Today marks the anniversary of the founding of this nation... when an amazing collection of thinkers, dreamers and doers cast off the shackles of a foreign government and declared that people of this land would be free forevermore.  The men (and women) that we now see as The Founders, pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor so that we might be free.  The Dougherty Report celebrates Independence Day with some thoughts about this holiday.  You'll also hear an interview from the archives regarding immigration and proves the media is a bunch of liars and hypocrites.  Finally, some thoughts about one of the candidates for the vacant Supreme Court position.
