Spring has sprung on the 40 Acres, and Cam & Miss E are scrambling to stay on schedule to get all of their seeds in the ground. They're also prepping to put a couple of the bacon seeds in the freezer, living with another round of baby goats in the living room, and celebrating St. Patrick's Day with an Irish feast.

It's a much quieter farmhouse this week now that the first round of baby goats have moved on to a new home, but there's still plenty on Cam and Miss E's plate with spring is just around the corner. They're bottling up hot sauce and planning the garden, as well as catching up with friends old and new, including a fellow 40 acre fool in Kentucky who's discovered the show!

Cam and Miss E update us on their new addition to the family. Tending, feeding, milking and living with their new goats, who will be headed to the vet tomorrow, and sold soon!

Cam and Miss E have a studio audience (and the world's oddest laugh track) for this week's 40 Acres & A Fool, since the two goats born on Valentine's Day are still living inside the house and are constantly underfoot. The pair (Cam and Miss E, not the baby goats) discuss Virginia's role in Super Tuesday and the sorry state of our political system, but since this is generally a show about the important stuff in life beyond politics, they also check in with a new friend from up north and discuss their plans for the upcoming growing season.

Wicked weather hit central Virginia hard this week, spawning tornadoes not far from the 40 acres. Cam and Miss E tell their tales of riding the storm out, along with some tips on getting the most out of your dairy goat and new friends from around the country!

Cam's away from the 40 acres this week, but he's been checking in while Miss E deals with some life and death issues with some of the animals on the farm. Meanwhile, as Cam's been in Harrisburg, PA for the Great American Outdoor Show, the mayor has declared war on the National Civil War Museum in the city. With things a little slow this time of year, Cam and Miss E are packing up the kids and taking a little trip. Not too far from Farmville, Virginia lies Thomas Jefferson's old home, Monticello, and the family's enjoying a little history and a lot of good food (courtesy of the nearby Michie Tavern).
