Hey family, Did you know that love is why you were put on this earth? It’s the very reason for our existence—we see it in the scriptures. Since this is true, why not become better at both receiving love from God and others and then overflowing that love to God and others? What would it look like to be a more loving person, living in a more loving family, and having a more loving church? It would transform our lives. Hey family, While the chorus is true—all you need is love—we have to ask ourselves, where does this love come from? We’re in a new series called “Improving Your Love Life,” and this Sunday we’ll be talking about where our love comes from. The source of our love that not only fills us with love but overflows from us onto everyone around us. Every relationship you have needs to be approached with love. Your relationship with your spouse, friends, kids, families, people you make meetings with, neighbors that you interact with. Every single one of those relation needs love, so we need to know where it comes from and how to let it flow throughout our lives. And so if it seems that some issue or hang-up is keeping you from giving and receiving love, this is the series for you. Hey family, do we bear fruit in what we do--or are we dead branches, only good for burning? Jesus talked about how important it is to stay connected to him if we're going to be fruitful in our lives. Hey Family, In this Advent series we have been looking forward to Christ’s birth through the first-hand experiences of those who were there at the first Christmas. This Sunday we’ll read Luke 1:46-55, some of the most beautiful verses in the Bible. An angel has told Mary that will give birth to the Messiah, the promised savior of the world. Mary is just a teenager at the time, unmarried, in a society that will make her an outcast once they find out she is having a baby. She has no assurances about the future—but still, she rejoices. Hey family, At the end of just about every Christmas movie, conversation, or memory, people say, “…and that’s what Christmas is all about.” What they mean is, it’s about giving to one another, being more gracious, loving others who don’t deserve it, etc. And while these are all good things, they miss the real point of Christmas. The point is, these are the things that Christ has done. He has thought of the poor and the lonely, he has given grace to the undeserving, he has done everything that we need not only to have relationship with each other, but to have relationship with him, which is the most important thing. That’s is what Christmas is all about. So please, come to our new four-week series leading up to Christmas. Hey family, many times as we go through life, we feel that we have to face an onslaught of temptations, attacks, adversity and difficulties. And we wish we had a defense against what's coming at us. The good news is, we have the Shield of Faith. God gives us this part of his armor in order to protect us from the attacks of the evil one.
