What will make you feel complete? - Audio
08/11/2025 Duração: 39minHey family, I don’t know about you, but I often find myself trying to improve everything--my habits, my health, my finances, my relationships. There’s always another thing to fix, another area to make better. But for all the things we try to improve, there’s one thing that doesn’t need improving at all and that’s Jesus. This Sunday, we’ll look honestly at why we keep reaching for something more and how that search reveals a deeper need in all of us. Join us as we face this very real struggle together and discover what happens when we find our fullness in Jesus. We meet at 10 a.m. on Sunday at 360 Schermerhorn St. Kids' Church for children ages 5-12 also starts at 10. --Edwin Announcements: Thanksgiving community dinner--Join us on Thursday, Nov. 27, as we welcome our neighbors to share Thanksgiving at Next Step Community Church. What do Urkel and Fonz have in common? - Audio
24/10/2025 Duração: 38minHey family, do you remember the Fonz? He was the coolest guy on TV. And the cool was his identity. As for Urkel, he was the ultimate nerd, from his suspenders to his giant glasses. What they had in common is that each one had something defining and directing their lives and their choices. This week we're hoping to give everyone their own glasses--lenses by which to see the world. As we continue in our series on Colossians, we're going to investigate a beautiful prayer that puts our entire lives in focus and shows us how to worship Christ. I look forward to seeing you at 10 a.m. Sunday at 360 Schermerhorn St. Please invite a friend! 18/10/2025 Duração: 37minHey family--and yes, I mean family. There's no such thing as the Lone Christian. Scripture tells us to never stop meeting together. So join us this Sunday at 10 a.m., 360 Schermerhorn St. Our guest speaker will be Pastor John Fils-Aime. Identity Issues - Audio
13/09/2025 Duração: 34minHey family, we've all seen those movies where a person hits their head and forgets who they are, and the comedy that follows is a lot of fun because before the end of the movie their memory comes back and they figure out their real identity. This situation, however, is NOT fun when we've lived a life not knowing who we are. In this new series, "Identity Issues," we're going to address some of the lies that we believe and the truths that set us free. We're going to be studying through the Book of Colossians as we go through this super-important topic in our lives. We'll talk about relationships, how we see ourselves, self-talk, and interactions with ourselves, with God and with others. We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn St. Kids' Church for ages 5-12 starts at 10 a.m. as well. Bring a friend! --Edwin

What is love? - Audio

The apostle John tells us: "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." God is the source of love, and also the perfect example of what love is. It is unconditional. It is not dependent on our worthiness to receive it, for no one deserves God's love--and yet He loves everyone. Please join us Sunday and allow yourself to rest in the assurance of God's love. We meet at 10 a.m. at 360 Schermerhorn St. And please note: There will be a congregational meeting immediately following the service. --Edwin
