Today, I spoke with Ty Leisher about his career in film making and his soon to be released short film Stranded. I have say that speaking with Ty is a highly energetic experience and I'm sure working with him is equally great. His mentality and focus on being a filmmaker is refreshing and I'm always happy to run across someone who firmly believes that film making is their one true calling. His production company, Blueprint 88, is undergoing a build out phase and more will be available soon on the web. Today, film maker Jared Scott returns to the show to talk about his latest film Age of Consequences, which premieres at the Hot Docs Canadian international documentary film festival in 2016, a in-depth look at climate change from the perspective of US military veterans who see it as a clear and present danger to our way of life. Kyle and I often get off on a tangent about acting, the business, and the brand of a filmmaker, so you'll have to excuse that, but we did talk about the Zombie with a Shotgun project and I have to say I'm extremely excited to see this thing come to "life" (see what I did there?). Zombie with a Shotgun is going to be that zombie film where all the rules we know about zombie films go right out the window. In this Zombie film, the zombie will be the hero and it will have others (zombies) to help out the war against the humans. The story follows Aaron who isn't sure if he is infected with the zombie virus or some other infection. He takes this journey with his girlfriend Rachel and his shotgun where they both find out the deep secrets among the zombie virus and their love life. Malevolent is the first animated horror film made entirely in the USA. It stars Morena Baccarin, Bill Moseley and the legendary William Shatner.

The Burbs takes place in a town called Clarington and is based on true events. It's produced by the Carmen Theater Group company. Premiering in October of 201, the show is released weekly, in 10 minute episodes, with a season lasting six total episodes. This deliberate move by Liane Moonraven gives listeners the ability to consume an entire season in an hour and to catch up on the story quickly. Along with Liane, British a James J Bryhan lends his voice as the amazing Dr. Normal Lightfoot, a shaman and protector of the land and people of Clarington. I am absolutely in love with Nevermore and everything they do. They make bite-sized web episodes in the style of The Twilight Zone that have short, meaningful messages about the people in the episodes and they are absolutely worth binge-watching to catch up. I want to see this show not only funded more, but supported by as many people who can support it because it's really what new media is all about. It's an absolutely great concept and one that I am very proud to have been able to speak about. Matthew Solomon is an actor and filmmaker who has made some amazing choices in alternative ways to tell stories. His film Chatter takes place mostly over Skype through the characters lives in a long distance relationship when something goes wrong.   It's an awesome concept and one I really love because it uses new media and alternative ways to film and record. Very cool concept.
