Today I had the real honor to speak with Umberto Celisano who plays Al Capone in the AMC 8 Part Miniseries "The Making of The Mob: New York" that will air on June 15th. Umberto is an amazingly talented and extremely generous person who has a real passion and fire for his work.

Michael Kospiah comes on the show today to talk about his writing process and to talk about the film he wrote, The Suicide Theory.  

Ashton is an actor, writer and now a director and came on the show today to talk about his directorial debut film "The Venom Brothers". In this gritty, psychological thriller, Damien and Nathan are estranged foster brothers, plagued by the bitter memories of their tragic past. The swelling terror surrounding their hate, lies and secrecy, boils over in this eleventh hour, with a shocking ending that will jolt the masses. I had a real blast speaking with Ashton about his work, his project and generally what he thinks of the filmmaking business and I have to say that it was probably the most refreshing episode I've done in a while. He brings a level of excitement to the project that I haven't heard in a while, which is always a plus.

When I first read the title, I assumed that this was going to be a kids movie or a simple fantasy tale about treasure, pirates or Disney related elements but what I found was a heartfelt story of an estranged brother and sister who must put aside their differences in order to solve an elaborate treasure hunt, left for them in the will of their eccentric father. I spoke with Casey Nelson and Kate Murdoch, creators and actors in the feature film about their journey into this business and what the film meant to them. The film itself is a rather heavy tale about what happens when someone you love dies and how you are left to pick up the pieces once they are gone. It's a lot to think about and it's a hell of a film. It will be available soon on demand, so check this space and I'll provide links to it once it's up.  

Today, I had the real pleasure to speak with Angel and Mysti Cozart, the writers and creators behind the up and coming show Gypsi. The interesting thing about this is that Gypsi has been a force of nature in the "Grassroots" movement of social media, fan support and executive attention it's been getting. The whole idea of this show is to bring TV back to something that you would be comfortable watching with your whole family, rather than feeling akward about explicit sex scenes and extreme gore and blood. This show, set in a fictional town in Louisiana, has deep roots into Hatian Voodoo, French-Creole Voodoo, and draws from local and global mythology, but still keeps a very close eye on down home folklore. When you talk about a cast, this series has already brought on board some amazing talent and the people connected to the show are all 100% dedicated to see it come to life.

Guy Patton is a hilarious comedian who has delved into filmmaking with an awesome feature called Pearl. That being said, Pearl is anything but a comedy. Consumed by a horrific event in her past, a women is driven to violent retribution, and soon discovers that there can be no getting even. Her only ally: a meth-making genius who manipulates her for her own ends, while she wages a vigilante campaign against a powerful drug lord and his thug army. A detective, investigating a series of grisly homicides, begins to uncover the truth about her, and the role he himself played in her origins. But can he find her in time to stop the killing, and to save her from herself?   What's not to love?

Today I had the honor of speaking with Christian Ackerman about his career and the projects he is currently working on. What I liked about this conversation was that Christian is going the more traditional routes with funding, through investors and pre-selling, rather than going to a crowdfunding platform.   It just goes to show you that there are still options out there for official "studio" funding without having to have a major list of huge credits under your belt. Get out there, do some work and earn some favors!

  Rampage 3: No Mercy is the final chapter in Uwe Boll's Rampage trilogy that is both brutal and thought provoking. What one might automatically discredit as a gratuitous show of violence and gunplay is actually a message about the state of the world and the state of the average person who is just trying to get by on a day-to-day basis.   This film looks like it’s going to be an awesome last ride.   Uwe is looking to Kickstarter to help fund the final scene in the film that promises to be the most action packed, violent and explosive scene this series has yet to see.   https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2063316815/rampage-3-no-mercy  

What can I say about this movie? It's an amazing tale of redempton, spiritual journey and mysticism. Think of Mad Max meets Breaking Bad.   It's amazing!

Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Reema Dutt and Sania Jhankar, the producer and writer/director of the film Butterflies of Bill Baker. Bill Baker, a kind, sensitive and content man, enjoys life's simple pleasures, such as tilling his garden or playing with butterflies. His seemingly fulfilling life is disrupted by Pavornocturnus - a night terror disorder that causes Bill to commit violent acts while asleep. His disorder can only be relieved with a unique, dangerous, and mind-altering technology.

Today I was able to sit down and talk with Peter Simeti who is the creator behind the movie The Chair as well as the founder of Alterna Comics. We went across the board talking about film making, the entertainment industry, comic books and social media.   This is one you should check out!

Noncritical Film has finished a documentary on the subject of missing Unique Harris and whether their is enough attention given to black and missing in America.  This short film "follows the journey of a grieving family in the search for their missing loved one - Unique Harris, a black missing mother of two from Southeast D.C., taken from her apartment as her two boys and niece were sleeping on October 10, 2010. As Unique's detective weighs in on motive and suspects, the film's re-enactment scenes depicting her final hours illuminate the theories behind her," says Kelsey Marsh the producer and editor of the film.  Unique's story was filmed and produced by Noncritical Film's, and who partnered with the Black and Missing Foundation, just found out that this film had been accepted into the 5th Annual Charlotte Black Film Festival.  In the film, the most interesting person is Valencia's herself, that does a wonderful job of explaining what she thinks happened to her daughter.  The que

In today's episode, I was able to speak with Eddie Jemison for his directorial debut with the film King of Herrings. Eddie’s acting career spans into blockbuster films like the Ocean’s 11, 12, 13 movies and the Punisher, Grey’s Anatomy and Bruce Almighty as well as an impressive TV career. King of Herrings is a feature length film with a lot going for it in terms of photography, direction, acting and overall cinematic feel. It pulls you into a new world immediately with its black and white adaptation and dark humor.

Today, I had the extreme pleasure to speak with two amazing people in the entertainment industry. My first guest is Choice Skinner whe is an actor, writer, director, musician, and an acting coach with an amazing story from humble beginnings. My second guest is Tony Germinario, a producer, writer and all around creative person with incredible vision and a "go get 'em" mentality. Together, we speak about filmmaking, origins and the film "Wingman Inc." which is a great comedy about a professional wingman and a professional man-eater falling in love.

Let’s Play Dead Girl is a story inspired by true events about three girls’ experience with Slenderman in early 2014. Josephine and Juda are best friends who create a mysterious, god-like creature, named Alto. They write stories, draw pictures, and always talk about him - they become completely obsessed. The girls create a website dedicated to Alto and it gains thousands of followers. One day, they decide that the time has come to bring him to life, and the only way to do that is by sacrificing one of their friends. What about this story will make your skin crawl? The girls are only 12 years-old. This looks like it's going to be an awesome film and I'm excited to have spoken with Christian Moran about it. Check it out!

Benny Loves Killing follows the struggles of a young woman making a horror movie. As her journey continues she becomes increasingly aware of the horror in her own life. I had the opportunity to speak with Ben about this film and it's really exciting to see new things coming out of the horror genre.

L.A. Beer will air on 5/11/2015 with a web series that is set in a microbrewery, the workplace comedy follows a group of beer lovers and brewers as they compete in a growing industry.
