It does not matter who you are. This well-produced and directed movie should be a must at every school, university, church, synagogue, Mosque, and other social space. Boulder, Colorado, is a college town that many consider a progressive bastion. But beneath the self-placating narrative is the lived experiences of the POC communities. Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD) appeared on CNN's State of the Union with #JakeTapper. He made it clear that Republican orthodoxy to cut and privatize Social Security. Senator #MikeRounds of South Dakota did not dismiss support for Rick Scott's program to sunset Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Instead, he bloviated and hunkered down. He used the more affluent pundits, who he assumes have good private/public retirement plans to insinuate privatizing at least part of Medicare is a possibility if they come back into power. He used the word 'manage' often as if our Social Security dollars are input to a stock portfolio. Larry Summers continued to push his neoliberal rants as Democrats inflated the economy. He is now having to back away from his doom-and-gloom prediction. Fareed Zakaria's first entry into the segment was disconcerting and unbecoming of a journalist of his stature. He acknowledged that most economists are pleasantly surprised that inflation is coming down. He then gave Larry Summers a lifeline by claiming that wage inflation was the most critical form. The Supreme Court has always put the conservation of the plutocracy first. Moral outcomes are only a byproduct if does not affect said plutocracy in the aggregate. It's time to reform it.
