2018 has begun and I have calculated the Suffering Index. Once again, the Washington Nationals have screwed everything up by making it more complicated.

I went to a Little League Field in town and saw the seeds were planted for the up coming seasons. It made me wonder who would sprout and be the biggest names of 2018. Saying good bye to the year on this episode of Sully Baseball.

This Spring I chatted with Bob Kendrick, President of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. We talked about the founding of the museum, some of their events and the legacy of the Negro Leagues today.

Detroit Tigers stars Alan Trammell and Jack Morris are now Hall of Famers. Whatever you think of that bears no matter. They are in. Deal with it. It looks like this summer will be super crowded in Cooperstown no matter what. Why not open the doors to Bonds, Clemens and everyone else for a massive Hall of Fame class?

Frequent guest of the podcast Lisa Swan, co creator of Subway Squawkers, joined the podcast to talk about the Yankees and the hiring of Aaron Boone. This was recorded a few hours before the Yankees pulled off the Giancarlo Stanton deal, so news moves fast!

The A's stadium plan at a local college fell through. They HAVE to come up with a solution soon, even if it is a painful divorce.

I want Shohei Ohtani to sign with a team to let him bat and pitch. The Angels would be a great fit for him. Meanwhile I urge the Angels to either bat Pujols 9th or to cut him.

I take a look at the MLB Off Season Award ballots while wishing there was an award ceremony to present them.

Roy Halladay, the best pitcher of his era, suddenly died. I pay my respects to him. Plus I talk about a crowded Hall of Fame ballot and a Veterans Committee that blew it.
