Felix Hernandez got hit with a line drive today. I am just hoping that he will be ok and the Mariners streak of bad luck could come to an end.

I know Spring Training games don't count in the standings. But 2018 has been so stressful that even the fake games will offer us a much needed respite.

Baseball is wringing their hands over pace of play. Instead they should realize that they have already built into their fan base what makes films like Black Panther so successful... a chance to share in communal joy.

The Padres signed Eric Hosmer to a contract that is too long and won't make a difference. At least they aren't colluding. Plus I look at the Rays dismantling, the Red Sox signing of JD Martinez and Commissioner Manfred's to do list.

I visited Gilbert Lindsay Park, the site of Los Angeles Wrigley Field, the original home of the Angels. While there, I expressed my enthusiasm about the Red Sox, a team whose fan base seems to be indifferent about.

I baked brownies and talked about what needs to be done with free agency, pace of play and making baseball players funny.

While visiting Whittier College, alma mater of Richard Nixon, I took a look at the free agent signing drought. I came up with a solution that included fixing the Mets ownership crisis as well.

The Eagles won the Super Bowl. That is good news for Philadelphia fans but even better news for the Phillies. With a little pressure taken off of them, they can rebuild in 2018 and be big time spenders when an historic free agent class becomes available next winter.

The great announcer Keith Jackson passed away today. Most remember him as a football voice. He was also a great baseball announcer. He would have had more memorable calls had Howard Cosell not stepped on him so often.

I am trying something new this year, specifically kickboxing. Likewise, I encourage baseball to find themselves on the menu of social media so more people can try the game as something new.

The Twins have gone from almost being contracted to being in nearly half of the post seasons over two decades. Yet without a title, nobody will remember. Minnesota wants to do something about that.

Friend of the Podcast @Cu8sfan (aka Cubs Fan With an 8) is wondering if there is any collusion going on with the slow free agent season. I say it is the Free Market doing its work.

Rafael Palmeiro is making a comeback at age 53. GOOD! Making a comeback all the way to the bigs would reset his Hall of Fame clock and give his career a better finish. I hope he does it with the Marlins, who I also hope become a safe haven for other comebacks.

What fans suffer the most? I would argue that Canadian sports fans are suffering the most because they are waiting for hockey glory as well.
