Sega Mixer Drive... With Rexy

The first show of May was a lovely regular edition, bizarrely also having a great amount of self-picks that had mostly went unheard til now. The IRC discussion also leaned its way to free comics, a demand for ice cream... and Conan the Barbarian? Eh?

The end of the month meant another Mystery Mix. This week's flavor took the audience on a time machine via remixes inspired by popular music of the past. From old fashioned swing to new jack swing - if the style is older than 15 years, it's golden!

Sonic was definitely free to return out in the field for this week's regular edition of SMD, this set including one of the danciest Remix Highlights to date. This also is the episode that went down as 'the one with the kamehameha' for some reason!

It's Sonic Free Week! As the title implies, the spotlight-seeking blue blur gets pushed aside for one week only and other Sega franchises take the center stage. There's so many franchises represented this week you'd all be screaming "DONDAKE"!

It's Good Friday, the Easter Bunny is almost ready, and yet the remixes on this week's regular-sized SMD are still sweet and sugary! This was also the episode where Rexy became Lady Error-Prone during the course of the show - we're only human, right?

The second Mystery Mix of the season brought in a first for the show - a DJ set by someone within the community! This SMD dance party became all the more groovetastic thanks to RoBKTA, whose 30-minute set was a wild addition to an already funky night!

Would you believe it? There's been 5 years of RadioSEGA live shows now? This is crazy! For this special episode, our host goes through RS shows past and present and picks defining remixes that marked many incredible memories over the past 5 years!

Here he comes, redder than the rest of them, the best of them, tougher than leather. Knuckles got the spotlight this Friday in a charity episode raising money for Comic Relief! You'll be surprised how far he's come as a character-and-a-half!

The only regular week of March is also a unique one - Rexy was joined by Audio Sprite and asked questions about his newly released Charity Remix Album II, raising funds to combat childrens' cancer. Hence, 2 hours of remixes INCLUDING some of AS's own...?

People asked for this, and now it happened - the return of the Genre based weeks in Season 1, now known as the 'Mystery Mix' - 2 hours of remixes done in a certain genre. Tonight, it's peers with guitars - get ready to air shred!

This edition of SMD saw the Newsdrive segment returning after a month's absence, a debate on what to expect from a remix... and THAT ONE NEW TRACK that hit our host in the feels. Yes, even a regular show would result in an element of surprise!

With one day before Valentine's Day, SMD set the mood to counter an equally-bitter-feeling Friday the 13th with lots of warm, romantic and occasionally cute remixes to take people through the night. Oh, and there's some hot news about Bayonetta too...!

Out of the chaos of preparing for the London Anime Con that weekend, Rexy was on hand to offer 2 hours of Sega arrange tunes that stemmed convention hype, a source guessing game of sorts and... rolling on Summer? Isn't it too soon for that yet?

100 episodes, but a lifetime of memories - this week's show focused on some of the most defining moments of the series, music that marked its strongest points... and a karaoke version of a certain Sonic Paradox fan favorite... in any case, let's party!

As MAGFest weekend happened, Rexy remained on hand to look after those staying behind. In addition to a fun music selection, this show also introduced the 'ChartStoppers' RS Top 40 tie-in segment - 3 of the many arrange tunes that hit this week's chart!

This week, Rexy was joined by GameChops founder Dj CUTMAN for a show based on said record label. There were previews played from their Sonic album Spindash, plus a discussion on the site's origins, the album creation and roster... and bLiNd's Blue Balls?!
