Balancing a Busy Life and Triathlon Training
29/03/2021 Duração: 49minToday’s guest is Angie Dye. In this episode of the podcast we talk about how she got her start in triathlon. How she decided that she was ready to step up to a longer distance race. Then we talk about how she and her family worked together to make that work. Finding the time to train and race is a pretty popular question when we start talking about longer races. If you have been thinking you’d perhaps like to train for a longer race having the opportunity to hear from people who have made it work in a variety of situations will hopefully relieve some stress, inspire and motivate you that it is possible. 15/03/2021 Duração: 31minThis is a solo episode with the host Amy. These are my thoughts and opinions about some stuff I think I'm seeing in the business of endurance sports - specifically my thoughts on what I think is a consolidation within the magazines published in the world of hobby enthusiast endurance sports including triathlon. These are my opinions. I do make mistakes. If there are mistakes in this let me know. I do try my best to get the information as correct as I can and I specifically report a bit of historical subscription data for Triathlete Magazine. Here is my source for that information https://3cv17g24bm2c1nem9g2xlfw7-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/TRIATHLETE-2019-Media-Kit_web.pdf I also share what I think is perhaps a sign of the future of media for endurance sports ... maybe - but it's a guess. An opinion. Thank you for listening - Amy Stone

Behind the scenes making triathlon happen in 2020
08/02/2021 Duração: 28minAs everybody knows there were very few live triathlon events during most of 2020. In Florida we did have a couple of race directors who did find a way to hold events. Willie shares her history in event production in Florida and the story of Game On Race Events. We talk about what events they put on. What rules they put in place. I ask how they figured out what to do and whether they had any help or guidance along the way. We chat about who came to these events and from where. Willie shares some tips for participants who are headed out to races with new rules and precautions in place for what you might expect. Being in the live event business is never easy but in 2020 it was extra challenging. Thank you to all the race directors who gave it the extra effort to make it happen including Willie and the team at Game On Race Events. Visit them to f
