Jodie has tracked down Australia’s professional racing driver Mark "Frosty" Winterbottom to give some tips to Soda and his Dad ‘Dr Phil’ who will be driving together in the Adelaide Rally 2017. Jodie was shocked when she heard the voice of her favourite high school teacher Frances Mann who she hasn’t spoken too in over 25 years.Soda tracked down the popular teacher after Jodie shared her fond memories of her time at Ogilvie High School and was left speechless when he surprised her with Frances Mann on the phone. “Oh my gosh! We were talking about teachers that have influenced our lives and I was describing you as this very glamorous P.E Teacher who took care of me…”When asked what kind of student Jodie was during her high school years Mann gave a glowing review of Adelaide’s popular breakfast presenter.“She was an excellent student, she had a bright and bubbly personality, she was obviously sporty and I particularly remember you were a very good gymnast I think you ever performed in the Hobart Mall at one stage then we went on for bigger and better things at the Casino for some education week”

Comedian Joel Creasey has commented on the difficulties confronting a gay footballer in coming out publicly, after revealing he had a sexual affair with a “bloody good” current AFL player.Creasey made the revelation in his new book, ‘Thirsty: Confessions of a Fame Whore’ and told Jodie & Soda whilst it would be difficult to come out as an AFL player he hopes it won’t be long until a player comes out. “I’ve been sitting in the stands of football and heard awful things said so I understand “I think the time is ripened and I think whoever comes out will be doing an amazing thing and you know give me a call!”

Jodie & Soda speak with a Travel Agent who reveals the tricks of the travel industry and how you can save on your next holiday by doing your research.Whistleblower Bruce advises to check prices before visiting a travel agent as they may try to rip you off and mark up prices without you realising."I don't know how secret this is but some travel agents will mark you up, if you go in and ask for a flight to LA they will ask if you have check prices online and if you say no and they go great here's an extra $200 on this flight" 

Jodie & Soda gave one lucky Adelaide couple a call to let them know that they will be paying all their bills for an entire year...Laurel & Vincent from Port Adelaide  entered Mix1023 'Live Free for A Year' Competition telling the station they would get married if they won."I've got my little 8-year old here ready to go to school and she keeps saying mummy when are you going to married my daddy? Jodie & Soda catch up with INXS Andrew Farriss & Kirk Pengilly to celebrate the bands 40-year anniversary and 30 years since INXS released the hits ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ and ‘New Sensation’ from their album Kick. Pengilly says they didn’t know back then that the album was going to be such a big success and even uses their own money to promote themselves. “Live Baby Live at Wembley Stadium we shot that and paid for it ourselves, there’s very few artists that actually have a film of themselves playing at Wembley Stadium”  When asked about the late Michael Hutchence they said there’s not a day that goes by that they don’t think about their friend.“I missed him terrible, unfortunately people tend to zero in on the tragic towards the end of his life in fact Michael is a very funny, witty a very happy guy as I remember… I really miss him”* The 30th anniversary edition of Kick will be released on November 3.

Soda has signed up his Dad Dr Phil to do the Adelaide Rally, so he thought they should do a text drive in his V8 Holden on the Collingrove Hillclimb track in the Barossa Valley but it didn’t turn out as planned.Soda drove his Dad around the windy track which left him cursing and eventually wanting to get out of the car…  “I don’t think this is a good idea…matter of fact I’m starting to feel a bit crock…I think I’m going to be sick…” Phil explained he’s not very confident in Soda’s driving abilities and eating a ham & cheese toasty plus an hot cholate on the way probably wasn’t the best idea.  “My stomach was in my mouth and unfortunately some of it had to come out!!”“On top of that I was crook then for the next 5 hours”  Soda & Dr Phil will race in the Adelaide Rally which is a 3-day touring road event held in the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa and Murray Mallee regions in December. Adelaide Crows Tom Lynch was a bit tight lipped when telling Jodie & Soda of how he proposed to girlfriend of 8 years Courtney so they decided to go straight to the source and find out the story from his fiancée. Soda surprise the Crows footballer but secretly getting his partner Courtney on the line“I knew this would happen you would play it under-handed to we have Courtney on the phone…”Courtney revealed that Lynch involved their son Koby in the proposal which took place in Byron Bay on a recent family holiday.“As I turned around both boys got down on one knee and said ‘Will you Marry Me Mummy’”“I had a little bit tear in my eye and Tommy had a big smile on his face”Tom & Courtney told Jodie & Soda they have set a date in December 2018.

Actress and same-sex marriage advocate Magda Szubanski joins Jodie and not quite Soda to talk about her new show Sisters and Same-Sex Marriage. Jodie apologises to Magda on her co-host Soda not turning up to the interview because he had slept in and it seemed Magda was very offended…“Just an unprofessional rude mole…I’m so hurt! “Well whatevs we’re done! I’ve never met him but we’re over O V E R!!” Magda stars in a new Aussie TV drama Sisters and she explains the story line is roughly based on a true story…“He’s a pioneer of IVF played by Barry Otto, apparently it has happened in some place “He decides to improve the quality of the human race with his own sperm and it’s just the fallout from it and I play a parent of one of the children so it’s great!”

Jodie couldn't believe what happened Halloween night on her street as over 500 kids and parents headed to her neighbourhood to Trick & Treat and some of her neighbours went all out!   “So I think the avenue that runs parallel to my street is like the Christmas lights street people drive there with their kids just to do ‘Trick or Treating’”“My next-door neighbour took it next level, they had a Monk slash Bouncer out the front letting children in. They had limbs sticking out of the ground, tomb stones a coffin filled with candy and a giant spider on the roof it was amazing!”The Halloween tradition has given Jodie some inspiration and in channelling Modern Family’s Claire Dunphy she wants to change things for next year…“So next year we are going to have a Modern Family situation… next year I’m going to take it up a level I’m going to have DJ, have an open bar there’s going to be wrist bands it’s going to be like a three day festival, I’m going to dress up the kids as fluro skeletons and they will coordinate

Tom Parker Bowles is pretty close to being royalty, in our eyes but he told Jodie & Soda he hasn't been lucky enough to dine in Buckingham Palace just yet. He is the son of our future king’s wife Camilla and affectionately calls Prince Charles his stepfather. Jodie & Soda asked him what he's been up to whilst in the country and what  Australian foods he now loves since filming Family Food Fight, the new Channel Nine show which sees families battle it out to make the most delicious meals.
