All the highlights from Jodie & Soda week commencing Monday October 23, 2017 including Jodie's argument with husband over directions, Soda explaining the 'Bird & Bees' to his 5-year-old son Felix and a Supermarket Whistleblower. 

Bachelorette Sophie Monk and the man who stole her heart Stu Laundy play Jodie & Soda's $1000 Minute and it may have started their first argument as a couple. Monk selected Laundy, a 44-year-old publican from Sydney, from 22 hopeful suitors put before her in television's greatest dating competition.After months of hiding their love until Australia’s Bachelorette finale the couple admitted they were excited about spending some quality time together.Monk “We’re just going to do normal people’s stuff”Landy “We’re in Melbourne and I’d love to go out for dinner tonight together”But it seemed the happiness was short lived as things got heated when they played the $1000 Minute for Stu’s Cousin based in Adelaide and the question on how long Bardot were No.1 on the charts led to Monk calling her new soul- mate an asshole!

Things got a little heated when Jodie and her husband Greg had a disagreement over directions and reading a map on the way to a friend’s birthday party."I made an epic error or saying that my husband and I had a barney in the car on the way to a 40th birthday party…it was the start of World War III”Jodie explains they had a birthday party in the Belair National Park and things started to go wrong once they entered the park and couldn’t find the Queen Jubilee Pavilion.“It’s like Yellow Stone National Park with Yogi Bear and she hands me a map she said turned left and its pretty straight forward etc. but we ended up getting lost…”“It’s getting increasingly heated and the kids are getting antsy I said pull out I can’t read this map and he keeps driving!”“So we did arrived and this is the worst thing the kids kept asking ‘are we there yet?’, we were late an hour, and Dad goes I don’t know if we’re there yet why don’t you ask maps here to my left she seems to know where we are going!”

Soda's 5-year-old son Felix has been asking him every night before bed where babies come from and Soda is struggling to explain just what happens with the 'Birds & Bees'. Jodie & Soda open the phones to get help on how parents can explain how babies are made to young kids.  

The Bachelorette Sophie Monk reveals to Jodie & Soda that she knew not all the men in the Bachelorette Mansion were there for the right reason but she wanted to keep some of the men because they kept things interesting.“There were a few in there that I kept in for my own entertainment!”Jodie revealed a rumour that contestant Blake has told other men in the house that he wasn’t interested in Sophie just wanted to be famous.“He said I’m not into this chick I don’t really dig her but what I’ll do is try and win this thing, marry her then divorce her within a year so I can get famous!”Monk said she hadn’t heard the rumour but good on him for having a shot but the relationship was never going to happen.She revealed she’s excited for the finale but more excited to be able to be out in public with her new fond love.  “I can’t wait to just go to a coffee shop!”  The Bachelorette Australia.The Final Decision. Jodie & Soda speak with a Whistleblower Funeral Director who reveals the secrets behind the scenes of a Funeral Home in Adelaide. From Vicks VapoRub up the nostrils to get rid of the horrible smell to bodies even going missing in transport or on the day of the funeral... "I do know a story here in Adelaide when the wrong body had been put in for the funeral...it was the actual viewing" "People are buried with bottles of alcohol in their coffins even Tim Tams" 

Soda has surprised his Dad 'Dr Phil' by signing them up for Adelaide's Rally 2017 and his reaction is priceless. Soderstrom left his father speechless with the announcement they would be driving together in December."I've been able to wrangle a bit of Father Son time...I’m bringing you to Adelaide you and I are racing in the Adelaide Rally!" Phil didn’t seem as keen as Soda might have been. “Oh my god...who's driving?" "I mean it's great for us to be able to drive around for a few days together but wouldn't it be better just to do a day drive around the Barossa or something?" "To be honest I’m not really confident about it..."The journey of Soda and his Dad racing in the Adelaide Rally will continue stay tuned.For more information on the Adelaide Rally visit https://www.adelaidemotorsportfestival.com.au/

Soda slept in so Producer Wang Wang was sent to the Soderstrom Compound to wake him up and get him in for the show... It seems Soda had woken up rushed into his Holden V8 and when reversing out his driveway was caught by surprise! "I forgot to change my clock for Daylight Savings...Mr Soda woke me up and said what time are you meant to be on air and I said 6am and she replied it's 6:13am" "Then I'm just backing out the driveway and i could see this crazy blonde woman I realised it was Wang Wang jumping up behind the car she nearly ended up underneath the V8 I just didn't know what was going on" "I tell you what it's pretty nice in the morning when your leaving your house at daylight, I forgot what it looked like out here" 

Father Chris Williams describes to Jodie & Soda the moment his 15-year-old girl has survived a terrifying encounter with a five-metre shark, which knocked her into the water in front of her family off the coast of Normanville, south of Adelaide.“She was just squiding and drifted away from us…with no warning this shark has hit the Kayak from underneath  the shark has grabbed the end of the Kayak and is attacking it”  “The look on her face and the scream that came out is something you never want to hear from your daughter…your baby”The shark circled and hit the kayak several times but Mr Williams rushed to his daughter's aid, pulling her out of the water with the help of his son Mitchell. "I just said to Mitch get on your knees and just drag her in and he grabbed her and dragged her own the shark and into the boat" Chris says his daughter was in a state of shock but escaped with only scratches and bruising but he doesn't know how she will not cope without her mobile phone which now lies at the bottom of the

Astounding stories of rats in the Bake-house to mouldy meats in the Deli, sex in the Dairy fridge and parents using kids to steal groceries, Whistleblower Alice works at an Australian chain of supermarkets and reveals all from behind-the-scenes! “In the Service Deli I know meat gets stored overnight and I know the temperate isn’t always stable watch out for mould on your meat”Jodie asked if there are people getting sick from the meat not being stored properly.“At least of two three complaints a week from the meat at the Deli, which is a lot for this big supermarket chain”  Our Whistleblower reveals the best time to do your grocery shopping is at the end of the weekend.“Sunday afternoons towards the end of close all the meat and Bakehouse goes out reduced”  It also seems that things get a little bit hot and steamy amongst staff members…“One of my friends had sex with a back-dock staff member in the cream fridge, let’s just say he was unloading a different type of cream that day”

Jodie & Soda speak with a Whistleblower who reveals what happens behind the scenes of the security industry in Adelaide. From drugs, violence and public indecency the security industry can be quite dangerous. "Some of the guards can be hit over the head with sticks, knifed, broken jaws that was from nightclubs""I witnessed in Hindley Street guns, kidnappings, bashing's and I once had to put three people in hospital it was either them or myself"

Jodie reveals the recent #MeToo campaign has led her to come out and speak about her own experiences with sexual assault and advances of men as thousands of women share stories of sexual harassment online.“I think the major problem with it all I thought somehow this is my fault, like I did something or I brought it on myself…even now as a 41-year-old grown ass woman I always think I ask for it”Jodie decided it was time to call out on the men who have led her to speak out #MeToo.  “So to the family friend who tried it on when I was a little girl and betrayed everyone’s trust around me then #MeToo”“To the teenage boyfriend who was verbally abusive dragged me out of his car and pinned me up against a wall and had his fist up to punch me in the face #MeToo”“To the media guy who systematically bullied female employees, I partially liked the day he called me a whore in front of all staff then #MeToo that’s one for you buddy”“And finally to the media man who scared the life out of me when he pinned me down and tried

Guy Sebastian tells Jodie & Soda it’s been awhile since he’s returned home to Adelaide but he loves how the city has changed since his last visit.“I haven’t been here for a while it just looks unreal, just going past the hospital, the bridge is all lit up and the Adelaide Oval is looking insanely cool”He reminisced about playing in the Slowdown at Adelaide Oval and mentioned he’d love to get his fellow Australian Idol mate Shannon Noll to join in but Jodie wasn’t sure it would be a good idea.“Can I suggest you not get together with Shannon Noll in Adelaide it didn’t end well for him last time”Sebastian “I think he’s going…what’s the other one which I drove back the Crystal Palace or something…”

Australian singing sensation Dami Im is set to bring some Christmas cheer to Adelaide when she performs at this year's QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight on December 10.Dami explains to Jodie & Soda that everywhere she goes she makes sure she has Sushi on her rider but there’s a big difference between places and the sushi she receives.“By the sushi you could tell how many Asian were living in the regions…if it’s fried chicken there’s less even though I am Asian…if you didn’t know”The 2017 QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight will take place in Elder Park on Sunday, December 10, with fun family activities kicking off from 2.00pm, and the City of Adelaide pre-show entertainment from 5.00pm, with the Carols running from 8.15pm to 10.30pm.The 2017 QBE Insurance Carols by Candlelight will be broadcast on Channel Seven on Monday, December 11 at 7.30pm.For more information go to www.adelaidecarols.com.au
