God turns the tables on the proud and arrogant in a continued theme throughout the Biblical record. God may seem slow in His deliverance and answers to our prayers but it doesn't mean that He doesn't hear or answer our cries for help.

They may be totally unaware how you feel, but we give them the keys to our life and allow them to control us. Worse, it's totally self-inflicted.

We note that God has one theme, a thread that runs through out the Old Testament and is exposed thousands of years later by the coming of Jesus Christ. All of this is presented by Jesus himself, as he points back at these different Old Testament events. On the third day is a springboard to the truth of who Jesus is and the hope that can be found in him alone.
