  • Trusting God in Troubled Times--How it begins

    12/04/2026 Duração: 26min

We can count on working hard in this life, and that life is not always fair. We also know that there will be moments in this life when situations will arise that will literally drive us to our knees in prayer. As we look at Jacob's life beginning when he left his home to travel to his Uncle's home in another region, we begin to discover certain behaviors that seem to run in his mother's family. Behaviors that seem to indeed to run in Jacob himself. We all learned from our parents how to do life. However, some of us had great families, while others did not. We all learned something from those who cared and raised us as children. We learned good things, but we also had to learn things that maybe we should never had to be exposed to. Those bad 'acorns' didn't fall far from the tree. How do we learn to break the cycle? How can Jesus help us to put it behind us and to forgive and not to be bitter? Trusting God, in Troubled Times can absolutely change your life.

Today, we examine the origin of the Passover Lamb. We make comparisons between Pharoah who resisted God at every turn. We also notice the similarities between Pharoah's resistance and Jesus' submission and the different results that come with resisting and cooperating with God's will.

  • The Beatitudes--"Blessed are the Pure in Heart..."

    16/03/2026 Duração: 30min

Today, we examine the Beatitude that speaks of the pure in heart. Very little is truly known about the human heart. Although many songs have been written and sung about the heart--we still really cannot not understand it. Today, we allow the Bible to help us define and describe the problems of the human heart. We ourselves may have given advice to someone and said, "You should follow your heart..." but is that really true? What does it mean to have a pure heart? These questions will be explored today as we look into this matter of a pure heart.

  • The Beatitudes--"Blessed are the Merciful..."

    08/03/2026 Duração: 32min

Today, we cover the fifth beatitude--Mercy. We notice just how different mercy is from grace. We notice also, that we need to look at the two main ways mercy is described in the Bible. Mercy involves forgiveness and also the extent of the cost of alleviating the pain, suffering and trouble of someone else, because you empathize with them. The amazing part of this is if you never experience mercy from a glorious God you will struggle to give mercy. So, what can you do to overcome the lack of empathy you have? That is what we will discover today.

  • Beatitudes--"...are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness."

    01/03/2026 Duração: 27min

Today, we look at the fourth beatitude. A very unique and unusual thing takes place in the original Greek language of Matthew chapter 5 and verse 6. What we discover changes our perspective and points us back to Jesus. If we get to the point that we hunger and thirst for righteousness, we are promised to be filled. It is that righteousness that matters more than all our actions, misdeeds and trouble. To find righteousness itself is quite a treasure.

  • The Beatitudes--"Blessed are the meek..."

    23/02/2026 Duração: 27min

Today, Pastor Taylor Murphy defines who are the meek. He also describes what it looks like to be meek. The Lord teaching on the Beatitudes, describes the upside down way of the Kingdom of God. To be great in the Kingdom of God, one must be the least. This is the antithesis of how we have come to understood how this world works. However, as the Lord gave proof of what meekness looks like, He went to the cross and laid down His life. Sitting now, at the right hand of God the Father.

  • The Beatitudes--"those who mourn"

    16/02/2026 Duração: 28min

The comfort that God provided to Hannah, Samuel, and David is not confined to their time. It remains available today for all who seek it. In moments of mourning—whether for spiritual needs or personal sorrows—God’s perfect comfort meets us, sustaining us through every circumstance.

  • The Beatitudes--"poor in spirit"

    08/02/2026 Duração: 18min

Today, we begin a new sermon series on the Beatitudes. When we consider the Beatitudes the very first one becomes the foundation stone that all other beatitudes will be laid upon. The first four instruct us how to come to the Kingdom of Heaven and also how to be a Christian. The last four instructs us on how to do this Christian life. Today, is the foundation; being poor in spirit.

  • Strategies For Success

    02/02/2026 Duração: 32min

David Martyn Lloyd-Jones wrote, "The secret of success is to think and to understand." Today, we examine Abraham's servant who is sent by his master to search for a wife for his son. In the process we watch as Eliezer chooses certain actions and makes decisions that brought him success. Eliezer was looking for a bride for Abraham's son. If God helped Abraham's servant, wouldn't He also help you in your quest for success?
