These are just my observations having followed and interacted with those in the sports scene in Botswana. Secrecy reigns supreme when dealing with sports in Botswana, nothing is as it is and trying to get information on sports matters is an impossible task.

Conversation with Og Ogone about the start of the new 2020/21 English Premier League and his overall assessment of which teams to look out for and he share his predictions. He is an avid Liverpool supporter and he got to give us an update about whats been going on at the club.

I did an impromptu Facebook live video with a Mogomotsi AKA Mchovas to discuss some of our local content creators that really helped us navigate the lockdown and had us entertained throughout. We touched on some of the breakout stars of the lockdown being Bafana Ba, Mhele Productions, Phenyo Limitless and bafana ba Ga Phandu...Honorable Speaker. It was a fun conversation and I would say we had fun doing it.  

Arsenal fans are holding their breath as the league approaches conclusion with Liverpool certainly having been guaranteed the 2019/ 20 premier league title. The shift has now moved from the premier league race to the records that Liverpool can break now with the major one being Arsenal's 2003/4 unbeaten record where they went the entire season undefeated. This is just my overall thoughts of the current status of our athletes as they prepare for the 2020 Olympic Games ( for those that have qualified that is ) and for those that are looking at qualifying for the games. Honest thoughts, if the current status quo continues prevail then we are definitely coming back empty handed from the games. Preparations have been long overdue, some athletes are still injured and other associations haven't shared their progress on how they plan to get their athletes to Tokyo.

The 28th Edition of the CAF Football awards ceremony was held on the 7th January in Egypt to honour and celebrate Africa's finest. Senegal and Liverpool's talisman was the big winner of the night taking the coveted title of being named African Player of the Year beating teammate Mohammed Salah and Machester City's Riyad Mahrez.   #CAFAwards2019 #SadioMane

Botswana Football Association today announced the appointment of Adel Amrouche as the new Coach of our senior national team the Zebras. Coach is Adel is taking over from Orapa United gaffer Mogomotsi Mpotse who has been the interim coach and now has been given the role of leading the National Under 23's. From his voice, the coach seems as he has development mindset for our local football and is keen with local coaches.
