As a huge fan of the *Borderlands* game series, I was excited to see how the chaotic, humorous, and lore-rich world would translate to the big screen. However, the film’s divergence from the game’s storyline and its approach to key characters left much to be desired. We discuss the decision to not follow the game’s narrative and how that impacted the overall experience. While some characters like Krieg and Claptrap were spot on, others, like Tina and Tannis, felt like completely different people—often to the movie’s detriment.
