For several years I've been invited to be a celebrity waiter for fundraisers for The Victory Center. I do them, so my friend Kimberly Newman doesn't make me go Over The Edge, which is their annual fundraiser that is highest off the ground. No thanks! What does the Victory Center do? What does it cost? How's the battle against cancer going? Stigmas surrounding treatment. 

Chili and T-Boz join the podcast for a quick chat as the lead up to their show here next Thursday at Promenade Pavilion.  I'm actually surprised they haven't gotten more comments like mine about one of their biggest songs ever. Ladies, you did my Dad's work for him. But let's start by talking about their biggest fan, truly.

It's been four years since Sabriyah Davis last visited. Then, her brainchild, Destination Picnic, a luxury picnic service, was just getting going, but the rapid ascent was also beginning as well. Fast forward to now and she and Kamilah Brown are throwing all kinds of Bridgerton themed events. The ladies are here to share the magic, but first... Of course the sewer ordinance got repealed. A real life hero in Toledo.  Good news/bad news when it comes to fast food places and their service. Inflation (it's high prices actually) is cooling, but so is this, as you may have seen, and I'm a bit concerned we're not out of painful economic woods. 

A crew from Toledo Area Bicyclists visit to invite you out to MARR - Mad Anthony River Rally. A ride out to Grand Rapids, next Saturday. Kelly, Joe and David were also willing to answer lots of my questions about how biking can safely and practically grow here in Toledo.  If you're interested in the MARR, you can visit HERE. First, why hasn't this person in particular received more criticism for the debacle in Maumee? 

Maumee leadership apologizes for the sewer ordinance. Tax free shopping includes restaurants. Fast food workers are gonna get blown out. LOTS of Deadpool things. So, YES, spoilers. And Robert Downey VON DOOM!?

It's VERY crude, but I'm trying to offer solutions, which I haven't seen much of so far. Before that, Deadpool and Wolverine, but no spoilers - except the one that was intentionally leaked.  How are so many spending (we don't have) at these events!? Who's responsible for fixing the sidewalk? Depends on the tree. Building of the new jail has completely stopped. 

I'm sure you've heard of this long running event - over 30 years - so I'm happy to have Ansley Abrams-Frederick from the UToledo Foundation and two artists, Larry Mack, and Greg Justus, in to talk about their experiences with their work at the event, and what you can expect this Sunday from this FREE event! 

Thanks to Lucas County Health Dept. friends for coordinating a visit with Stephanie Baltes who is heading up the Healthy Corner Store Initiative which will give 6 stores $20k over the next few years to get healthy options in their locations. After that, lots of healthy nutrition tidbits with Stephanie. First, that's it - for now - for car washes and storage unit facilities in Toledo. WHY are there so many storage places anyway!? Do you have that much stuff?  Signs for a roundabout. JAGGED EDGE IS COMING! UT adding some (accent) colors.

I'll save it for the end because 1. It may not affect you 2. It's not local. My sole criticism of the Maumee sewer drama. If the Home Run Derby is making news its NOT good, I love this MLB player even more every he shows us more Decoy. Futsal!? I'm a bit of royalty with this. Pizza Palooza preview. It's not gonna get much better. I was fortunate.   

There's no what!?  Sgt. McLendon and Ofc. Cervetto are back because you're running out of days to apply for the next TPD academy. Before they leave I ask them to dispel some common myths WE believe when it comes to police. First, the Maumee situation is a disaster. 

Last time he was here, Jameil Aossey talked about his experience getting two of his tracks selected for Beyonce's Renaissance album, which wound up winning Grammy's. Before we get into Jameil's work getting chose for the new Eminem album, I wanted to know where the trophy is!

Not just visit Perrysburg, but Visit Perrysburg with its new Director Josh Johnson, who has Archbold coursing through his veins but is ready to make things like the farmer's market and the art fair bigger than ever. How about a football stadium country concert? First, maybe things are more bikeable than people who want more bikeability believe. Where you remember being dragged to as a kid. Why does the gore and shock still...shock you, and a less scientific cause of Dadbods. 

Was it blatant, unfettered anti-semitism, or simply not knowing what you don't know and product of where we live? With so few people like myself. Our behavior has been changed, for the worst, and now we've taken it offline to IRL. She's back and he's staying! My era's theory of decades of scourges, but why once left the serial killer time from an expert on a podcast I enjoy.

Jenna lost her husband last summer to a brain cancer. I met her at a recent Victory Center event where she was a featured speaker sharing her and her kid's journey. She's also started her own endeavor to ensure those enduring a cancer battle can be pointed to the most effective resources. AND she shares what Camp Kesem is, and how helpful it was for her kids, and that slots are still open! First, $20k for healthy food, a high speed chase and the worst HOTD character.
