Hailey Blackford, who wrote the harrowing post pinned here on her Facebook page about horrific treatment of dogs, and general lousy human beings, visits to add more perspective to her time at LC4 and what she'd like to see next.  Here is the WTOL story about Hailey's experience.

The beginning of changes at Lucas County Canine Care and Control, but I'm pessimistic there'll be much more. I hope I'm wrong. First.... I will be wary of using my dog's name in public moving forward. What if this massively popular sports is just a fad. No interest for a whole day! Here's your $3 for it. Perhaps one of the last things to return from the banishment of COVID is the Maumee Film Festival, which is next weekend at the Maumee Indoor. A preview of the fest with Film Toledo's Charles Wetzel and the Indoor's Director of Operations Sara Eiden. Sara is also kind enough to answer ALL of my questions about the many fantastic things happening at the venue. Did you know they run new movies!? First, I'm not changing his name and the bitterness of ACV.

That's in the very last few minutes of today's episode, so first... Why I was SO happy in the hours after the debate. It was actually enjoyable to engage with others on the Internet. We went back to the Old Days of it! I don't need to go see the Joker sequel in theaters after what I've been reading.  There's a BAZILLION of these and I think churches are required to do them! There's rizs and Ohio but these more vital words have gone dormant. 

Our Cumulus Media Ronald McDonald House radiothon is less than a month away. Lots of story telling and less music on that day. So why should you still listen? Here's why...

She's on for the second time but this is her first time in studio. She is one of the most important people in Toledo. After you listen to my dear friend, Wendi Huntley of Connecting Kids to Meals, you'll see why that previous statement is so true. First... A totally preventable tragedy, and OTHERS may have culpability as well. Don't call it a house centipede. I don't want it living in my house. 

After the rainbows I needed to remind myself to let people have enjoy things. A bigger more enhanced Toledo concert venue? The new TPD Chief still doesn't live in Toledo, and I can see why people have issue with that. Could I get money back on my expiring vehicle lease? It's gonna be the biggest one ever. Is it worth it? The Lego convention is returning.

Voice winners from NWO (Pettisville) have teamed up with Sunshine Communities for a shut-down-the-street late-summer Acoustics For Autism type bash as Sunshine celebrates its 75th anniversary. Thanks to their Chief Philanthropy Officer for visiting to tell us all about SC, and how they differ from other area disability centric orgs, as well as all things happening with this bash next weekend. 

Roundabouts are a searing hot topic in the area. Good to have Natalie Haase from the Health Department (because this is a health issue!) to discuss why they're optimal, when more can learn to use them and other safe driving notes that you may be overlooking! Before that, why I didn't stay for TLC, but it was still a good night, Ohio IS now derogatory term, and I'm not, nor was I ever gay. 

Two things that have me in shock. The dog in that deadly accident survived.  First, a thank you for someone who got me involved in Pride. An interesting new-to-Ohio coffee place arriving. A neighbor issue. Richard Simmons died in part to what!? Never thought this old friend/coworker of mine would share something like this. 

That secret I was debating whether to share, and forgot to do just that yesterday. I think I've polished up how to express it so I don't come off in some kind of way you loathe me.  Genuine advice for Jennifer Lopez. I know who is right for her. What women aren't attracted to in men...according to at least several surely reliable people.  I don't think it's a sure win, but this feels like 2012 again, and I like it.

Wow. There are people who think the whole recycling thing is some kind of gimmick or scam!? Adam Cassi from Keep Toledo Lucas County Beautiful returns to share that WILD concept, their first fund/friend-raiser coming happening in Ostrich Towne, and what to do with lots of those fall things we need to dispose of! First, N'dre the Weather Prophet, if it can't be 0, I'll take 1, and heck yes, irregular content on the radio station!

For several years I've been invited to be a celebrity waiter for fundraisers for The Victory Center. I do them, so my friend Kimberly Newman doesn't make me go Over The Edge, which is their annual fundraiser that is highest off the ground. No thanks! What does the Victory Center do? What does it cost? How's the battle against cancer going? Stigmas surrounding treatment. 

Chili and T-Boz join the podcast for a quick chat as the lead up to their show here next Thursday at Promenade Pavilion.  I'm actually surprised they haven't gotten more comments like mine about one of their biggest songs ever. Ladies, you did my Dad's work for him. But let's start by talking about their biggest fan, truly. 

Courageous Community Services that is. Yes, they used to be Camp Courageous, and Laura, their ED will explain the change, the swimming dogs, the peanut butter smells and another end of month event you may want to join in on. And of course what they're all about.  First, when this stops, I'm going to have a chunk of my day to fill.

It's been four years since Sabriyah Davis last visited. Then, her brainchild, Destination Picnic, a luxury picnic service, was just getting going, but the rapid ascent was also beginning as well. Fast forward to now and she and Kamilah Brown are throwing all kinds of Bridgerton themed events. The ladies are here to share the magic, but first... Of course the sewer ordinance got repealed. A real life hero in Toledo.  Good news/bad news when it comes to fast food places and their service. Inflation (it's high prices actually) is cooling, but so is this, as you may have seen, and I'm a bit concerned we're not out of painful economic woods.
