The final World Tour offering of 2024 sees Markus Schulz return to a city and venue he holds dear to his heart; continuing a tradition of welcoming Canadian Thanksgiving in the afterhours capital of the world, Stereo in Montreal. A weekend which began on the Saturday in Thailand, playing at the Transmission Festival in Bangkok, culminated in playing for over 12 hours from midnight past noon as Sunday night became Monday morning inside dance music's cathedral.   Hope you enjoy the highlights of the set. Throughout the Global DJ Broadcast calendar, Markus Schulz strives to go a step further by creating a selection fo specialist themed concept mixes; reflecting the broad palette of his sound. The newest of the seven themes is dedicated to the high tempo and uplifting feelings of trance, titled as Dream Sequence. Now in its fourth iteration, this particular concept returns to celebrate Thanksgiving and the beginning of the holiday season.   The mix is based around a selection of uplifting favorites from the regular studio shows across the past 12 months, extracted from Coldharbour and beyond, with a nod to the future.   Dream Sequence 2024 is only one of several attractions on offer from Markus and Global DJ Broadcast before the year ends. Markus Schulz finds himself in Los Angeles this week, preparing for the home edition of Dreamstate, and checks in with what is the final regular Global DJ Broadcast episode of 2024. The phrase In Search of Sunrise carries a deep resonance throughout the dance music community, and ever since its debut outing 25 years ago, in 1999, its purpose has been to emotionally inspire. Spearheaded by Tiesto for the first seven editions, and continued by Richard Durand from 8 through 13, the honor was bestowed upon Markus Schulz to be the primary curator of the series from the 14th volume onwards.   In September 2024, In Search of Sunrise not only celebrated its 25th anniversary, but also reached its milestone 20th edition. The most expansive volume in the series to date, featuring no less than six DJ mixes; by Markus, Solarstone, Airscape, Super8 & Tab, York and ZOYA.   To mark the occasion, Markus wanted to weave something a little extra for company as part of the celebrations, by going through the entire history of the series and highlighting some of the significant pieces that have shaped the various generations of the series.
