Dr. Sherman L. Young leads two churches. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of HighPointe Church and Ministries of Atlanta, GA and Pastor of the First Baptist Church Carver of Bessemer AL. He also ministers in dozens of churches each year as a guest speaker, lecturer and conference facilitator. His ministry includes preaching across the USA, Ghana and Liberia of West Africa, Europe, Cagayan De Oro City and Butan City of the Philippines and the Bahamas. This organization focuses on leadership development, offering conferences and round-tables for that purpose. He is founder of HighPointe Church and Ministries, Sherman L. Young Ministries, Inc., the Harvest International Alliance of Ministries and The TIMOTHY Network; a mentoring ministry for preachers submitted him as their spiritual father. These organizations hosts workshops and conferences around the USA on Leadership, Church Administration, Church and Ministry Leaders Training and Developing Pastors Support Teams. Honored as a true apostolic voice to our generation, Sherman L Young received his Biblical training at the Birmingham Baptist College and the Southeastern Bible College, Birmingham, AL. Bishop Young also attended the Gospel Ministry Theological Institute, based in Houston, TX.(Bachelor of Theology) He holds an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from St. Thomas Christian College, Jacksonville, FL, and a Doctor of Humane Letters from the New Generation Theological Institute and Seminary of Savannah, GA. He is married to Shelby and they have three children and two grandchildren
