We discuss upcoming vintage racing events and vintage motorcycle shows. Buzz makes a big announcement about a special show at Billy Lane's Sons of Speed during Daytona Biketoberfest! Jacqui Van Ham joins us from the road traveling home from Sturgis 2017 and  the Bonneville Salt Flats and she brings us an amazing update from both!  Henry Wiles is now "King" Henry following his 13 year reign at the American Flat Track Peoria TT! World record holder and long distance motorcycle rider Carl Reese calls in from a corn field in Nebraska while on tour with Deena Mastracci! He gives us special insight about how he prepares for long distance touring and what he does when he is on the road. Where to stay? How many miles per day is enough? Billy Lane has been thinking about boardtrack motorcycle racing for 15 years. During Daytona Bikeweek 2017 he turned that dream into a reality at New Smyrna Speedway in a big way. Riding Into History is in it's 18th year and it is happening May 20th at World Golf Village in St Augustine, Florida. The concourse features over 400 of America's finest vintage motorcycles on display. They have a history of Grand Marshall's and this one is no exception! Father and son team of Yvon Duhamel and Miguel Duhamel will be the Grand Marshalls for 2017. Riding motorcycles is dangerous. Recent fatalities as well as life threatening and life changing injuries remind us all of this. Jumping from airplanes, climbing mountains, driving race cars and thousands of other human activities create risk factors that many of us are willing to accept. Motorcycling is a juxtaposition. The joy of riding is in a special catagory that cannot be found doing almost anything else. Every person who rides or races motorcycles is also aware that it can take everything in an instant. At some level, every person who swings a leg over a motorcycle accepts the hazards in exchange for the outright joy riding provides. The recent passing of Charlotte Kainz, Kyle McGrane, Jamison Minor and Zaden Florez has been a brutal reminder of the risks/reward ratio.
