Simply telling ourselves to not do something doesn't solve our temptation problem. So is there a second half to that? What else can we do?

Temtpation is a tricky thing. But James, the half-brother of Jesus, shines some light on how to begin to battle our temptations.

Moments are about us. But movements are always about something bigger than ourselves.

This semester we start with a new series entitled "Story." In this 4 part series, Nathan walks through 4 parables of Jesus that have tremendous impact on our lives today. The first is "The Workers in the Vineryard."

The tenth and final commandment, Do Not Covet. The story of King Saul gives us great insight into what it is to covet; an insight that when applied to our lives is incredibly appropriate for the holiday season.

We all lie. At some moment in our lives we have made the decision to not tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. But there is a pretty incredible story that shows how seriously we should really take this ninth commandment.

This is a serious command for those of us that are married. But it relly doesn't apply to us when we are single. According to words from Jesus it applies to us all, married or single.
