No Plus Ones

Some movie talk, some music talk, some trying and failing to remember what happened these past two weeks.

Dan rushes to grab Danzig's fridge from the street, we take a trip to the autism section at Spencer's Gifts, and read selections from the greatest (only?) Wayans' memoir ever written.

Dan discovers the Emo Cop and, unfortunately, tells us all about it. Also: Ranking the Wayans brothers, watching bad movies, and which celebrities we'd chase down the street.

Dan goes to the Jackass art show, right-wing grifters go to Warped Tour, Greg Ginn's Daddy Day Care version of Black Flag is in the New York Times, and we talk about it all

We talk the state of music journalism (bad) the return of Vine (good, possibly?) and having way, way too many garbage cans on your block for some reason (also bad). 

We sort of kind of try to remember Halloween. Then Dan narrowly avoids getting stuck in traffic. We also think about moving into a Florida retirement community to avoid our political enemies. Something like that, yeah. 

After a week off, we're here to talk all the most important things: Halloween candy, apps, and something else, I forgot. 

The fellas talk about goth smoothies, Halloween, working at Toys 'R' Us, and some other random crap.

Chatting about making AI friends like in the movie Her and Taylor's impending wedding on the moon. 

Dan returns from the desert and we talk about about all the latest culture war news and then kind of spoil the new Paul Thomas Anderson movie (so maybe skip that part if you've not seen it).

This weekend, the fellas experienced the best that "punk rock culture" has to offer: the new Superman movie and Riot Fest, and they lived to tell the tale. Does two episodes count as us being officially back?

We dusted off our microphones, changed the name of the pod, and are back to, ostensibly, talk about music once again. 

The boys are back to talk music (briefly) movies (mostly) and Dan's impressions (not nearly enough). 

Dan was in town for his big book event so we recorded in person. I don't remember what we talked about at all. Funny how that goes.

For this very special Halloween episode of No Plus Ones we talk about the most horrifying things we can imagine: a new album rollout, a festival canceled because of wind, and a very bad Danzig movie.

Did you know Machine Guny Kelly made a movie? No, not that documentary, an actual movie. He wrote and directed it! We watched it! We lose our minds!

The old lady on the telly died, the guy from the band sexted, and Danzing said some dumb things. That's an episode of No Plus Ones for ya!

We took last week off because we had nothing to talk about and oh boy that was a great decision. This week we've got powerful emo music, the AI rapper that got canceled, some person who is writing a record about staying up late, and Dan introduces a New Guy.

The boys are back to talk about screamo guys of all ages doing dumb stuff and saying dumb stuff, we cut some weird promos, and we fully dissociate by the end of the episode. Quality content!

We are back once again to plumb the depths of our stupidity for your enjoyment! We brainstorm some ideas for emo week, Dan takes a covid test, maybe something else happens? I don't know, you listen to it and then tell us what we talked about.
