Susan Snyder has many years of experience as an activity leader and creative facilitator with elders. She has an master's in counseling psychology/drama therapy and has worked at the Jewish Home for the Aged and Institute on Aging in San Francisco. The focus of her work there was creating opportunities, both private and public, for elder art. Susan is a longtime improviser and also a certified mental health first aid trainer. A writer, poet, and spiritual mentor, and back for the second time on Creative Spirit, Dr. Ilene Cummings' career path has typically been one of innovation and risk-taking. At age 37, while raising five children, Ilene began her college career; she entered the work force at age 44 as the founding coordinator of a landmark human-development program for women. Her graduate degree is in human development, and she has a Doctor of Ministry in spirituality and work from the University of Creation Spirituality, founded by Matthew Fox. Now in her mid-80s, Ilene continues to teach on the themes of beauty, aging, legacy, and forgiveness. Since her senior year in college, Mary Landor, now in her 80s, has been devoted to visual art. She earned a Ph.D. in art history, then teaching and publishing about Italian Renaissance sculpture. Recently, her professional work has focused on the medieval poet Christine de Pizan, a strong advocate of women’s rights. Says Mary: "Eight years ago, my daughter, Elizabeth Gibbons, introduced me to intentional creativity, which has made the last journey of my life unbelievably fruitful. Deborah Tash is a visionary artist, healer, and poet who says she is committed to using her voice, her hands, and her art in the community for the intersection of spirituality and sexuality, and for honoring the Divine Feminine and spirit guides.
