  • Fat Seal or Porg?

    24/02/2018 Duração: 01h34min

Spoiler Alert: We start the show right off with Victoria singing. Sorry. It had to be done. We kick off the show with Victoria introducing us to an upcoming movie that's bound to be horrible followed immediately with our review of a movie that we both loved. Gotta keep that balance in the force...with Facebook free-use music. Daniel predicts Uncast will become a vidcast. We discuss the candle-related holiday season and how much we love it and Victoria confuses a fat seal in a pool with a porg, hence the title. This and more in our 2017 year-end episode...unleashed on the world...8 weeks into 2018.

  • 326: Spit Out the Road Trip

    04/01/2018 Duração: 42min

Rachel joins us and we discuss our road trip as we drove her car and most of her stuff from West Virginia to California. The trip included full days in Memphis and Austin, stops in Lexington, Nashville, Little Rock, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, Tucson, and Chandler before reaching Claremont, CA. Phew! What a trip! While we were gone, Victoria was bored and all alone. Wait. No she wasn't. She was busy bringing a new member of the family home! Everyone give a warm (and not too loud) welcome to our newest member of the Casa, The General. Photos can be found on Victoria's Instagram (everyone go follow @lushrain and @uncast!).  We also get into the Metallica concert we went to and talk way too much about Victoria's metal preferences. :) ENJOY! • 325: Kissing Squids

    24/12/2017 Duração: 46min

Is it strokable? Is it hentai pop? Nope. Just Uncast. Andrea joins us though, so we got that going for us, which is nice. What weird holiday falls on your birthday? Have you gone to the fair lately? Victoria and Andrea describe ours as a parade of cows and bitter parents. Beers of the week? Well, first we have Geburtstagskranz brewed by The Bruery for Bottlecraft's 6th Anniversary. It was supposed to taste like black forest cake. While there was cherries and chocolate in the flavors, I wouldn't say it quite got there. While Daniel grabbed the second beer, Victoria brought us Freddy Kreuger PSA which is basically just her describing how she wants to be a serial killer but with a purpose. Evil Twin and Westbrook made a Mexican Biscotti Cake Break. It's a mouthful but it's not bad but it gets a discussion on Hop Con 5.0 going. We also discuss tactics of luring Comic-Con celebrities on the street. As an example, Daniel took advantage of the Diminuendo panel and met Taliesin Jaffe, who is an amazing man. As a side

  • 324: Sock Talk

    23/07/2017 Duração: 50min

We start right off with Victoria getting a little bit racist. We somehow continue without any deaths and the beer of the week, Daniel's 3rd brew ever is not bad! How not bad is it? LISTEN TO THE SHOW! We also talk about the ridiculous cost of some designer fashion. We have a fairy tale as told by Bray Wyatt to Edge & Christian somewhere in there. Beer #2 comes out and you'll have to read the Beer Reviews section or LISTEN TO THE SHOW to find out what it was and what we thought. We do discuss Beer to the Rescue 2017 and how nearly every beer that local breweries made for us, were absolutely amazing. Victoria has a question for all of you: do handjobs by people who speak sign language count as blowjobs? A lot is learned by watching people masturbate. A lot is learned by attending ballgames. Victoria gives her playback of DragCon LA last month.

  • 323: Brew Day

    27/05/2017 Duração: 33min

Come with us on a journey into glorious the land of beer and how to make it. Okay, we won't bore you with the entire brew process but Tony and Jefferson are here with Daniel to talk about their thoughts on beer, brewing, and brew days in general. While we do this, we're brewing an American Black Ale that's meant to be somewhere between a brown and an IPA that's so dark, it'll make your mom's heart seem like a light source in comparison. So sit down with us for about 40 minutes of beer talk and we'll reward you with beer...talk.

  • 322: When in Rome

    29/04/2017 Duração: 48min

We recorded this Andrea while Daniel was recovering from a cold. We reminisce about Unniversary weekend, including their time in an escape room, Jim & I at brunch and Study Pony Karaoke on Friday night. Not to mention the greatest food spread in Unniversary history. Victoria and Andrea escaped to this "rezzert" in Mission Bay called Paradise Point for a few days. We enjoy a beer just in time for Victoria to get into her second favorite hotel pasttime: snarking on shitty TV. Namely, Lifetime dramas. Oh yeah, drop your pants and gather the kids for a good wholesome family poop commercial.

  • 321: U-X Don't Go Hard First

    11/04/2017 Duração: 41min

First off, ten years eh?! Who'd have ever thought we'd still be doing this after all we've been through? Thanks first off to Bex, Allison and Butch for being the only guests to make it out for all ten events. The Dahs would be there too but we'd only met them once by Unniversary I and to be fair, they DID join us for the afterparty on Paltalk. SO there. Actually, a huge thank you to everyone who attended this year and all those hoping to join us next year, which will actually BE on St Patrick's Day! Mark your calendars and start saving for the tickets and hotel now, my friends. This episode is nothing less than what one might expect when you have 15 people and 4 microphones. Introductions are just the beginning. In fact, why am I even writing show notes? You all know how chaotic these shows are. There's beer, sexual innuendos, music and movie references, and lots of laughs. Enjoy.

  • Uncast 320: Choose Your Own Dick

    25/03/2017 Duração: 43min

Recorded the night after The Oscars, we go over some of the awkward events of the evening. The episode itself starts with lots of quotes and soundbites that are all relatively useless. Going from awkward to awesome, check this out. 2017 has become the year of every stitch in the fabric of existence has become politicized but Lin-Manuel Miranda has three major projects going at the same time, so that EGOT will be his, I tell you! On other topics, there's music to be had, including the Grammys, a year full of metal, and musicians that have maybe become stretched a little too thin or have formed into marshmallows. As we enjoy sipping a tasty Green Flash beer, Victoria searches for Beauty & The Beast soup pots. Oh the conflicting emotions of pet ownership. We get through beer number two (barely) and lighten up the dark mood with some Mario Kart. The question we have for everyone is this: Who is worse? Waluigi or Donkey Kong? Just when you think the episode is over, Victoria brings up eggplant cookie cutters.

  • 319: Cucks and Golden Snowflakes

    12/01/2017 Duração: 55min

It's the years of [bullet] shells and [special little] snowflakes. We discuss how epically 2017 has started already. If you thought we were going to put 2016 to bed, 2017 has decided it's a pissing contest. Victoria talks about how cuckholds are going to "take it back" from the alt-right before transitioning smoothly into makeup. This brings us to toys of our parents which, of course, leads to Trivial Pursuit. What's your favorite version?   In the 80s? Don't mind if we do but let's talk drugs. First, just say no and next what determines whether you did crystal, crack, or cocaine? More loving childhood memories include horror movies we were forced to watch. Movies discussed include: Babadook, C.H.U.D., Cujo, Hostel, Poltergeist, Reservoir Dogs, The Eye, The Ring, and The Witch.   The thought of being terrified makes us thirsty and you get a special treat with two excellent and highly-recommended ales this episode: Scaldis Noel and Tough Love 2016. The Golden Globes went fairly well and La lA LA la w

  • 318: 2016 Learns Foreplay

    29/12/2016 Duração: 01h02min

Dear 2016, thanks for the offer. We're flattered. We really am but no. We won't have intercourse with you. Why? Simple: you never learned foreplay. You had one job 2016. One. Anyways we're back and we're tackling the myth that 2016 was the worst year on record by pointing out some of the awesomeness that came with the year whether it was trips we took, time together or with other loved ones, karaoke to real musical performances, beer as always plays a role and we have so much more to look forward to in 2017...like U-X: Decade of Debauchery!

  • 317: We're Back!

    27/09/2016 Duração: 49min

Four months between recordings is FAR too long. Y'all can thank our old sound mixer which lived a very long life but finally kicked the bucket. That and Victoria apparently morphed into Donald Trump. Our beers of the week aren't enjoyed on the show but were enjoyed with Victoria's parents at Modern Times Beer, Mike Hess Brewing, and Rip Current Brewing. If not for the amazing food at Boston Pete's Seafood, Tacos Perla, Streetcar Merchants and the lumpia at Sublime Ale House, we might not have survived the day. Also, shout out to Mike Hess for trolling their customers by using a teal label for their orange wit. Also listen to Daniel use Trump logic when Victoria talks about the previous weekend. So for the beers this episode, we'll give you the beers we liked most overall this day: Modern Times Schwartz (Uncast favorite) Modern Times Blood Orange & Hibiscus Fruitlands (Bart's favorite) Mike Hess Oktoberhess (Uncast favorite) Mike Hess My Other Vice (Bart's favorite) Rip Current Delaminator Smoked Doppelb

  • 316: What doesn't kill you, hurts like a bitch the day after

    12/06/2016 Duração: 01h17min

Recorded on the Ides of May and we welcome our guest, Anthony, to the show. We start right off with our first beer of the week, Council Brewing's Deadlock Ale. With beer in our bellies, we get started on the happenings of the last two months, starting with the Apocalyptica concert we went to and the Beyonce concert that Victoria attended. Then we get to the question of the night: DAVID BOWIE OR PRINCE? Tony goes with Bowie, Victoria says they have two different places in her heart but Prince wins out. Daniel gets away with not making a decision. Beer number 2 is Game of Thrones themed and so we get into that a bit and ignore the beer which isn't bad but just suffered from bad timing on our part. We get into book series we like such as: The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie and The Red Rising Trilogy by Pierce Brown. Once we get around to reviewing a very good beer, we praise the genius of Barrel Republic and Splash, which are places you can pour beer and pay by the volume and by that we mean hundredth of

  • 315: Universary o'Nein!

    03/05/2016 Duração: 01h02min

First an announcement: Un-X willbe March 18, 2017. You have over 10 months to plan. So,no excuses. Now on with the show. This is our 9th Universary, soat this point, you should know what to expect. Topics to include:our upstairs neighbor got drunk before the rest of us and cameover, Daniel brewed a great beer, Rumspringa! Stupid Question ofthe Night: what emoji would you like to have on your tombstone? Isour 2nd beer just another questionable thing we put oin Butch'smouth? Victoria is the female Fagin of Halloween, and we get into adiscussion about young girls who look older and the awkwardsituation men put them in. This obviously leads to our discovery ofmasturbation. This naturally almost leads to a fight over icecream, a cinnamon hazel nut beer and the end of theshow.

  • 314: It's Orgasmic Meditation, Fucko

    10/04/2016 Duração: 01h11min

It’s another Mancast with Butch and Tony! This one’s got FIVE (5) beers of the week. We all agree Daylight Savings Time is a waste of it. We watch the Aztecs lose the MWC final AGAIN in the perfect location for it: a dive bar at 4pm on a Saturday. Is Pliny the Younger overrated? It’s a triple IPA so naturally, we drinks 3 IPAs in a row to find out. In order: Drake’s Brewing Hopocalypse Green Flash West Coast IPA Ska Brewing Decadent Imperial IPA Also, big love to Coop’s West Texas BBQ for the amazing meat for men. San Diego sports teams however, need to step up their game. We make our first announce the official date for U-X Universary 10...March 18, 2017. You have ZERO excuses for not being there in person. NONE. Daniel makes a trade of beer for brisket that’s amazing and we remember when Butch first met Whitney Shay but Butch is saving his cream for the cream at The Milk Bar in North Park.

  • 313: Two Beer Victoria

    13/03/2016 Duração: 58min

After 2 beers, Victoria needs food not hockey. We skip a Gulls game to record this for you guys and we’re happy with our decision. 43-45 BC were one year because it’s a fucking mess in Rome, 440 days a year. Victoria has to wait 9 months for arancini because...she got a little um, excited last time and now she’s pregnant. That is, if she doesn’t die in Paris first. We go quickly through the first two beers of the week. Through this, we learn true love is eating a demon baby out of your stomach. Victoria says the movie Lucy is shit and Kanye has gone cray but Jay-Z is not, nor is Beyonce. Scary movies are scary. Deadpool is NOT a family movie but Victoria somehow makes it more juvenile. That said we both have shit show movies we just have to watch: Gods of Egypt and Eddie the Eagle. Why not combine them? Wonder Twin powers activate! Beer of the Week #3 make us ask, “Hey Australia; what’s with the green and gold as your national colors? Not good enough to be on your flag but

  • 312: Let's Burn Things

    21/02/2016 Duração: 01h23min

Everyone quiet down! Victoria has something to say and you know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation. That’s right, we’re starting this one off with a TWO (you heard me) TWO Awesome List show and the first is ALL Miss Queen Bey herself. And how old does Butch sound saying “from the Harry Potter…?” While he might look like a lost Weasley, I’m not so sure Ellie Golding’s ready to get Sirius Black. Daniel knows. He can tell you ‘cuz he’s Batboy now. Speaking of that, clickbait of the week: Victoria went to a concert with her dad and what she did will shock and awe you! All these distractions finally bring us to our first beer of the week and how is it we haven’t reviewed Stone Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout before?! Well, it’s amazing. Next topic. Butch goes into his week of food poisoning. NOPE. NEXT TOPIC. How about Neil Degrasse Tyson vs B.o.B. in a little diss-track back and forth featuring the Flat Earth Singers? Either way, S

  • 311: It's Like Caligula For Children

    07/02/2016 Duração: 01h15min

This is our first recorded episode of 2016. Creed makes God cry. Victoria gets upset because a Buzzfeed Quiz told her she’d fail 4th grade science. Facebook trending topics are ridiculous. For example, are German people racist for buying Mein Kampf? Guess where the Kardashian loving Vivi sides on this debate. I’ll give you a hint: Daniel takes a hard “Fuck Cancer” stance, while she takes a softer “it happens, get over it!” approach. Our search for brown ales continues. The first from Alesmith, is amazing. The second, by Black Market, not so much. This is made up by the new Uncast Winter Cocktail. Want to know how to make it? Listen to the show or call the Uncast Line. Christmas was eventful with a great basketball match and a new favorite cocktail bar, Seven Grand. This follows with Daniel being very adamantly wrong for a second time in the show. It’s kinda awkward how wrong he is. He does tell a story about a pretty epic day that he and Butch had on December 12th. W

  • 310: Dick Jokes and Mind Violence

    16/01/2016 Duração: 01h59min

Andrea is in the house and we go through his first experience with Black Friday and Thanksgiving in the States. We move on from family drama to our thoughts of Spectre. Hint: just don’t. We also discuss (at the time) upcoming movies like Star Wars and The Revenant, and we hear what our first thoughts were before 311 when we give our reviews. This goes so well, Andrea goes off on Daniel for his new built rig. After a brief break, we go through some deep relationship focused discussion. If a mime is alone in the forest, does he make a sound? Why does Victoria hate the penis Peanuts? From there, it’s back to movies and then music. Daniel briefly recounts their night during beer week, and naming beers. He also recounts his day brewing his first ever beer, the aptly dubbed Plan C IPA. Victoria and Andrea regale us with tales from their trip to Seattle, including Pike Place Market and the EMP. Daniel laments the unfulfillment of his cravings and Andrea picks on Americans for having choices. Victoria tal

  • 309: Down Goes Rousey!

    15/01/2016 Duração: 01h21min

Recorded November 15th. Again, we apologize for the extremely ridiculous delay. It’s another Mancast! Well, it’s an episode just with Butch and Daniel. Don’t like it? Wait until next week when we release 310 (also from November) with mostly Victoria and Andrea. So where do we start? Oh right, beer. Because of course. Hear Daniel give the most felatio innuendo laden beer review ever. Sorry Not Sorry. Also sorry not sorry, this was recorded November 15th, so Daniel is back to his releasing episodes a month after the recording, thing. In this, we discuss a great Beer to the Rescue night at Bay City Brewing and our last evening of beer with with the 3 Amigos (Tomme Arthur, Jeff Bagby, and Tom Nickel) at O’Brien’s Pub and a few pints at 2Kids where we named a future beer. After this, there was beer and Baked Bear and an evening of NXT Takeover. WE discuss this a bit while sipping on Alpine Hoppy Birthday, which is fantastic, btw. This moves into some wrestling talk that’s semi-i

  • 308: I Don't Need a Challenge In My Mouth

    07/11/2015 Duração: 02h39min

Come join us in our 2 hour, 40 minute punk rock beer fest. You may learn something. We sure did.*   We start right off with a one-item Awesome List, Hamilton. I know, it’s the trendy musical right now but it’s worthy. Trust me. We discuss the germ magnets that are coins. Victoria teaches us that Soundwave is a hipster. We discuss some of the beers we’re about to taste and initially title the episode, “Crossing Streams” but then the actual title came along and ended that real quick.   We quickly discuss some Ottawa memories like Mill St Brewery (a new InBev addition), Pub Italia, and Hop City’s Barking Squirrel Lager. Oh and we braved Safehouse again, after the Rachel incident of 2015. Somehow Philip Rivers’ virility comes up somehow and how he fills up his 20 room mansion.   After trying our first beer, Brandon and Victoria reminisce about UK food and drink. We had some great Big Dog beer and hat tip to Bob Barnes for providing it to Brandon who shared
