  • WPH #596: How Do Poker Players Know When To Bluff?

    01/01/2026

Poker Coach Jonathan Little breaks down a hand played by his former student, Justin Saliba (JustGTO). This hand was played on the final table of a $10,000 buy-in tournament, Event 4 of the 2025 PokerGO Cup! In this hand, Justin is the overwhelming chip leader with 2 other opponents remaining in the tournament. He is in the Big Blind facing off against the 2nd place chip stack in the Small Blind and the difference between stacks is significant. This is the dream spot for poker tournament professionals and Justin knows exactly how to take advantage of this spot. Watch along until the end to find out how he does it! Having the chip lead on the final table is a poker superpower, it gives you the ability to apply significant payout pressure to your opponents which allows you to build your stack even bigger & increase your odds of winning the tournament. But if your opponent’s know that you will be exploiting them by increasing your aggression, surely they will adapt & start to call wider… ri

  • WPH #595: He LOST His MIND In This $1,500,000 POT!

    27/12/2025

Playing in a huge invitational poker cash game during the Triton Poker Series Montenegro, Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates and Tan Xuan get involved in a massive pot. But has he lost his mind in this $1,500,000 pot? Xuan must decide whether to unload the clip with a triple barrel bluff. The problem is that Cates holds the stone cold nuts. Will Xuan make the wrong decision and punt it off into Cates, or will he give up on the bluff and save himself almost $750,000? When playing poker tournaments or cash games, it is important to protect your calling range. This means that when you call a bet, raise, or check-raise, your range should not only consist of draws or medium-strength hands. You should occasionally have very strong hands, including the nuts, in your calling range. By doing this, you make it much harder for your opponents to exploit you, as they cannot be sure whether your call represents a draw, a marginal hand, or a monster. Dan Cates, also known as Jungleman and w00ki3z, is a 34-year-old from the U

  • WPH #594: HUGE ERROR By Tom Dwan?????

    18/12/2025

Playing in a cash game on your own live stream might be something most people would avoid. But Ryan Feldman, CEO of Hustler Casino Live, is not like most as he loves to get in there and battle! In this high stakes poker cash game, he steps out from behind the cameras and into the spotlight, facing none other than poker sensation Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan. In this poker hand, Feldman bets the river with top pair and Dwan is on the verge of calling that he even shows his cards to the entire table! But will Feldman give something away that allows Dwan to make the correct fold or will this be a huge error by Tom Dwan? When you’re playing against weaker, less game theory optimal (GTO) studied opponents in small or mid stakes live cash games, you’ll often see betting lines that poker solvers simply do not recommend. A common example is when someone leads the flop or turn from out of position for an unusually small sizing. These tiny donk bets tend to come from a very polarized range, usually representing either

  • WPH #593: Has Alan Keating LOST His MIND???

    09/12/2025

Alan Keating entertains poker fans across the globe on high stakes cash streams with his fearless, crazy, and loose style. Now, Keating is taking his shot at poker tournaments. In this poker hand from the $25,000 buy-in 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise Main Event, he tangles with poker professional Alex Kulev near the money bubble. Kulev leads out on the flop and turn with complete air before putting Keating to the test for the majority of his stack on the river. Has Alan Keating lost his mind, because with just ace-high, Keating has no real option but to fold, right? When playing in a poker tournament, and you have 50bb or less after defending out of the big blind, it is game theory optimal (GTO) to have a leading strategy on certain flops that are good for your range. For example, on a low, wet & connected flop, the big blind will often have a slight range advantage since a lot of the suited and offsuit holdings that connect well on these flops will be defended. Again, it is important to mak

  • WPH #592: A Truly ROUGH Situation.

    04/12/2025

Under the lights at the Lodge Card Club in Texas with fans around the world watching the stream can be daunting for any poker player! However, Lodge regular & PokerCoaching coach JWin is no stranger to facing tough decisions live on stream! In this poker hand, JWin gets put in a truly rough situation for his entire stack, and he has to decide if Mr. Kipling is bluffing or value betting. Will he come to the right decision with his two pair? When you are preflop, it is important to think about your opponents’ position and the ranges they are likely to use from each seat. If a poker player raises from under the gun, their range should generally be stronger, tighter and built around premium broadway hands, suited aces, and high pocket pairs. Against this type of tight early position range you should proceed cautiously and 3-bet less often because they are far more likely to have the strongest part of their range. However, when a player in late position decides to raise, especially from the button,

  • WPH #591: Has Brad Owen LOST His MIND???

    28/11/2025

Poker vlogger Brad Owen has filmed his entire journey through high stakes poker tournaments and cash games. In this hand, Brad is playing a cash game at the Bellagio poker room in Las Vegas with his friend Ping. Both poker players end up with strong hands by the river, but has Brad Owen lost his mind and will he overvalue his trips after his friend puts out an overbet of two times the pot?! When your opponent makes a polarizing bet on the river, which means they bet the pot or even overbet, they are signaling that they either have a very strong hand like the nuts or they are bluffing. In these spots, even when you have a strong hand such as trips or a straight, you need to realize that when your hand is far from being the nuts it becomes a bluff catcher. If you raise here, you will only get called by better hands and lose, while forcing all of their bluffs to fold. Because of this, the best play against a polarizing river bet is usually to just call and avoid potentially value owning yourself.

  • WPH #590: This TABLE TALK Makes Him LOSE His MIND!

    21/11/2025

During a $10,000 buy-in PokerGO Cup tournament in Las Vegas, Ren Lin and Patrick Leonard clash in a massive pot close to the money bubble. Leonard rivers a full house while Lin has complete air, but this table talk makes him lose his mind! When you defend your big blind against a raise from early or late position and the flop contains broadway cards or an ace, you should generally start by checking your entire range. These boards favor your opponent’s range because they are more likely to have stronger hands, including the nuts. By deciding not to bet, you also protect your checking range, since it will now include strong hands as well as medium strength and weak hands, keeping your poker strategy balanced and difficult to exploit. Patrick Leonard ‘pads1161’, or Pads as he is also known, is a professional poker player from the United Kingdom. Leonard has won over $4,400,000 in live poker tournaments putting him in the top 1,000 on poker’s all time money list. He has 1 World Series of Poker (WSOP)

  • WPH #589: CRAZY Live Read DESTROYS Patrik Antonius [$5,000,000 For 1st!]

    20/11/2025

Being in the final four of a $200,000 buy-in Triton Poker tournament in Monte Carlo with over $5,000,000 for the winner is the kind of dream most poker players can only imagine. For Vladimir Korzinin and Patrik Antonius, that dream is real as the two face off in a fascinating poker hand. Antonius tries to bluff Korzinin off ace-high, but the decision does not come down to bet sizing or ICM pressure. Instead, it comes down to the month of Antonius’ birthday! The question is whether that month means Antonius is bluffing or value betting, and whether or not this crazy live read actually works! When you are in the big blind and have check called a bet on the flop, there are some instances where the turn card allows you to lead out. For example, after you have check called a bet on a low connected flop and the middle card pairs on the turn, this is a good spot to bet into the aggressor. As the big blind player, this pairing turn card is much better for your range which is why leading out makes sense as yo

  • WPH #588: STOP Calling Me A NIT!!!

    08/11/2025

One thing that poker professionals possess that amateurs often lack is the ability to win pots that shouldn’t be theirs. PokerCoaching owner Jonathan Little finds himself in a multiway pot during the 2025 World Series of Poker Paradise Main Event. Little, Tsugunari Toma, and Derek Gibb all check to the river, seemingly giving up on the pot. However, Toma takes a stab at it with a bet. Will I let Toma win the pot so easily or will I finally prove the YouTube comment warriors wrong and they will finally stop calling me a nit? If you have studied 60 big blind preflop tournament poker using the PeakGTO poker solver, you’ll notice that many hands mix between raising first in or folding. When in middle position, this often includes low and middling suited connectors. The best poker strategy with these hands depends on how aggressive your table is. If there aren’t many 3-bets and players are mostly calling or folding, then adding these hands to your opening range is the right play. However, if you are const

  • WPH #587: WPH Rampage Poker NEEDS To Get PAID!

    31/10/2025

Most of Rampage Poker’s vlogs follow him traveling around America, jumping into cash games and poker tournaments where he’s built a reputation for playing big pots and punting in wild spots a little too often! This time, Rampage Poker needs to get paid, so he decides to head across the pond to Europe and Casino Barcelona for some high stakes cash game poker. Rampage finds himself with quads and puts his opponent to the ultimate test for their whole stack. Will his reputation as a punter follow him to Spain and get him paid? Or will his opponent sniff out this value bet and find the discipline to fold? When thinking about your turn bet sizing, typically, you want to use a geometrical bet size. This means choosing a size on the turn that allows you to bet a similar amount on the river, with the end result being that all the chips end up into the middle. Geometrical sizing is often used when you are playing a polarized range, either very strong made hands or total bluffs. To do this effectively, you

  • WPH #586: Phil Hellmuth In A WORLD of PAIN!!!!!

    24/10/2025

Everybody loves to see a classic Phil Hellmuth blow up at the poker table. During PokerGO’s No Gamble, No Future, Alan Keating tries his best to wind up Hellmuth by showing him one of his cards on the river. Hellmuth has a set of kings on a very unfavorable runout and has to decide whether Keating’s other card is the nuts or nothing. Phil Hellmuth is in a world of pain, but will he come to the right decision or will we see another epic Hellmuth tirade? When deciding whether or not to bet your hand, it is important to consider the type of opponent you are up against. Against weak passive players, you can bet more often with marginal made hands, since you can comfortably fold when they show aggression. However, if you are facing a loose aggressive opponent who is likely to put you in difficult spots when you bet, it is often better to exercise pot control and check back instead. Phil Hellmuth ‘The Poker Brat’ has won over $30,700,000 in live poker tournaments putting him in the top 100 on the all ti
