Clockshops Counter-Inaugural is a series of talks addressing the misogyny, hate speech, and climate change denial that dominated the 2016 presidential campaign.Radio Imagination celebrates the life and work of Pasadena science fiction writer Octavia E. Butler (19472006). Organized by Clockshop, the program centers on ten contemporary art and literary commissions that explore Butlers archive at the Huntington Library. New work will premiere alongside performances, film screenings, and literary events throughout the year.

23/02/2026 Duração: 01h11minThe closing of ‘Songs of Emerging Endangerment’ featured a dynamic panel conversation with scholars and artists who study the histories and cultures of the Asian Pacific diaspora. ‘Songs of Emerging Endangerment’ is an installation by TJ Shin an artist born in South Korea who now lives in Los Angeles. TJ explores how power shapes our lives and experiences, using sound and sculpture to explore their ideas. This installation emits sound from an air raid siren, a tool once used across LA to warn the city about incoming danger. Every hour, it plays recordings of people imitating the calls of birds that migrate through the East Asian-Australasian Flyway, a path that crosses East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. The participants in the project are people with connections to the regions where these birds live and travel. LA County is home to 1.5 million people with roots in East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Sharing imitated birdcalls through this siren is a way to invite
