Like Priscilla, Aquila and Apollos we're meant to both give and receive guidance in the body of Christ.

In selecting his disciples Jesus demonstrates both how diverse he wants his earthly family to be and how he expects us to live in that family.

Creativity of God

As disciples of Christ we must move beyond learning to doing.

In the pilgrimage of faith, it is essential for us to set up “landmarks”, reminders of God’s active presence in our lives. For in good times as well as bad, God is present and active for the good of his people.

It is God’s will, and delight, to perform his mighty acts in this world through ordinary folk, like Paul, like you and like me. In this respect God isn’t looking for “perfect” people or even “capable” people, he’s looking, rather, for people who are “available”.

Mary: A life of Prayer

Although our future, as individuals and as a church, might seem uncertain and, even, scary, it is essential that we understand that “tense” times are the times God uses to expand the kingdom. Hence, rather than being afraid of the future, we are called to “lean into” it, trusting that God will open doors for the gospel.

True wisdom is found not in planning, schemes or intrigue, but in a response of the heart to Jesus.
