In a nutshell, the Golden Handoff refers to the practice by an established agent of partnering with another agent who is either getting ready to retire or relocate to a different area. The retiring or relocating agent will agree to work with the newer agent in his or her final days. These two agents will typically come to some sort of agreement where the retiring agent will grant access to all of their client information via database and actually endorse the new agent.
