Why now? This is a question I was asked last week and although I was expecting it I didn’t anticipate that the sudden death of a former work colleague in his 50s would put that question into stark realisation that ‘now’ is all we have. Why now? Because I am alive and breathing right now Why now? Because tomorrow may never come Why now? Because those who I want to spend tomorrow with might not be there? Why now? Because I have found something that gives me vitality and vibrancy that makes me want to sing and dance everyday - not just now and then. Why now? Because one day it will be too late. We all sit back and relax into our habits and dream of the lives we could be leading or the tasks we could be doing thinking that time is something we’ll always have. We all succeed at dying.
