Minister Suggests Asking "For Loan" Of Specialised Chair In Shannon Child With Cerebral Palsy Case

Informações:

Sinopse

The Minister of State at the Department of Health has suggested asking "for the loan" of a specialised chair in the case of a Clare child with Cerebral Palsy. The two-year--old referred to as Alex is just below the age limit for the Access and Inclusion Model and therefore cannot be provided with a state funded SNA or any specialised equipment at her creche in Shannon. As a result, Alex's parents have been forced to bring in her walker from home every day, while she also has to use a seat propped up by tea towels. Responding to Kilrush Independent TD Violet-Anne Wynne, Minister Mary Butler believes local services are best placed to help, while a review of the scheme is underway.
