Being vegan is often associated with militant, judgmental types, but really, many of us are simply happy making choices that align with our values. While we want more people to adopt a vegan lifestyle to spread the benefits of plant-based eating, we can better achieve this goal when vegans and the movement as a whole become less purist and judgemental, and more loving and supportive of all those on their respective journeys in the realm of changing their food choices. With food choice being the top way an individual can contribute positively to global issues like climate change, animal welfare, and world hunger, we need to find ways to grow the vegan movement and approach the world with love, understanding, and inclusivity.
