Cutter's Rockcast

While yes that sounds like the perfect title for a comeback album by an old school punk rock band, it does hold true for the subject of this week's Cutter and Kaytie only episode of Cutter's Rockcast. You may have or may not have seen the news that a major company within our industry of radio and entertainment laid off around a thousand people in order to move forward with a more technology focus. You know Jamey Jasta as the lead singer and front man for Hatebreed. You may remember Jamey as the host of MTV2's Headbanger's Ball, or maybe from his very popular podcast The Jasta Show. There's also his solo band simply called Jasta. Oh and there was this band he did called Kingdom of Sorrow. Jamey is a busy dude, but an extremely talented one at that. What an honor for me to have Jamey do the Rockcast with me. We talk metal, we talk punk, we talk mainstream rock, we go through riffs, songwriting, podcasting and a ton more. Of course we also get deep into the new Jasta recod 'The Lost Chapters Vol. 2' which is due out on December 13th. You know Clint Lowery as the guitarist for the band Sevendust and also maybe from Dark New Day and even his work with Seether. After writing and working on it for a few years, Clint is about to release his first solo album, 'God Bless the Renegades' due out on January 31st. The first single is out now called "Kings" and if you know or have been a fan Clint's previous work you'll immediately fall in love with it. Today the Las Vegas based band Otherwise joined me live on Razor 94.7/104.7 to promote their show with Blacktop Mojo. We talked about their new record 'Defy' which comes out next Friday November 8th.
