    Every few months, posters calling for people to donate their blood are plastered all over Luxembourg. Yet, blood stock levels still approach dangerously low levels at certain times of the year. Since blood donation is a completely voluntary gesture—unless you consider the free drink and biscuit after your payment—, is it that people are reluctant to donate or does Luxembourg really need an absurd supply of blood for its hospitals? To better understand why Luxembourg seems to suffer from a perpetual shortage of blood donors, and to demystify the practice itself, Vincent Ruck, communications manager at the Luxembourg Red Cross, came to talk on this episode of Whine and Shine with Tracy Heindrichs.

Passerell receives daily migrant women and girls seeking international protection who share their stories. In an association (and less formal setting), it is easier for women to trust Passerell and share about the violence they have suffered. Part of this violence is perpetrated on these women simply because they are women.
