The Seahawks have a brand-new staff, and their best hire might be Leslie Frazier who is the Seahawks assistant coach, and Puck and Jim see the vision on what John Schneider is doing, a young staff w/ a veteran leader. Ian Furness posted a poll asking who folks would want to see at quarterback for your Seahawks in 2024, Geno Smith, Drew Lock, Michael Penix or other. The guys share who they voted for, and the discussion continues about the fit of a new QB on the Seahawks roster, if indeed Geno is out.

Puck and Jim talked about it all week last week regarding Kyle Shanahan making mistakes that cost him and the team a championship and when the game was on the line he doesn’t execute and gets in his own way. Why not run Christian McCaffrey, what about not using timeouts to end the half, him not being aggressive to get the ball back and go score. The Seahawks have ripped off the band-aid and are going in a different direction, and that is exciting for the future. The Mayor makes his appearance and shares what he has planned for his program today.

The chance he leaves for the NFL is still a possibility as the Seahawks are still looking for an offensive coordinator. Puck sees it as a farce and Jim is making the case that he wouldn’t lie like that, but we shall see how this all plays out. Also, Tom Pelissero, NFL Network insider shares the news that the Seahawks plan to hire Aden Durde as their defensive coordinator. Puck and Kidd know who told on Jim and got dogs banned for good from the station, but of course Jim wants to know who told but yet doesn’t know everyone on the FM side, mind you, Jim sees a lot of these people every day. The Super Bowl is creeping up very quicky and are the 49ers the better team, I think everyone can agree that Patrick Mahomes is the best QB, but can the Niners really knock him off? Jed Fisch had a presser recently and had some comments regarding if creating a pro culture on a college campus makes sense.

Rumors are that Chip Kelly could be making his way to the Seahawks as the new Seahawks offensive coordinator. Chip was a head coach in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2013-15, and ultimately Puck and Jim aren’t impressed w/ his resume. Last year he led the UCLA Bruins to 8-5, but the guys aren’t impressed. The Waste Management Phoenix Open is set for Thursday, Puck and Jim are giving listeners a chance to win tickets for Around The Sound Golf Passes.

We missed Steve Mariucci Monday alongside Mike Holmgren, but he quickly visits to talk his career, and much more. Will Geno Smith be the starter for the Seahawks, we’ll find out in 10 days.
