Yusei Kikuchi’s Trade Stock Is Going Through The Roof! | Worst Loss Of The Season?
10/07/2024 Duração: 38minThe Toronto Blue Jays lost a heartbreaker to the San Francisco Giants after a wild pitch got past Danny Jansen in the bottom of the ninth inning. Again, for the millionth time this season, the Toronto Blue Jays got a great start from their starting pitcher, the offense does not do enough and the bullpen finds a way to blow the baseball game. With Kikuchi’s brilliance, his trade stock continues to rise. Should the Blue Jays trade him? What would they get in a trade package for him? What assets will they target? We answer these questions in this episode, as well as break down all of the big moments from the first game of the Blue Jays series against the San Francisco Giants; including the wild pitch, the Ernie Clement home run and the state of this current Toronto Blue Jays organization: Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho

When Will Joey Votto Make His Toronto Blue Jays Debut? | Spencer Horwitz & IKF Breakdowns
09/07/2024 Duração: 40minThe Toronto Blue Jays had an off day on Monday for the first time in almost two weeks, so we decided to take a closer look at Joey Votto’s tenure with the Toronto Blue Jays. From hitting a home run off Zach Wheeler, to disappearing for two months to his minor league stint, this has been a wild first half for Votto. Spencer Horwitz and IKF have been two of the few positives of the Toronto Blue Jays in 2024. Even though Spencer Horwitz has been hitting over .300 since he was called up to the big leagues, Blue Jays management still has not allowed him to be an everyday player. IKF will most likely be shut down until after the all-star break, but will he be able to keep up his career year in the second half of the season? We also break down the series against the San Francisco Giants, as we will see some familiar faces in this three-game set. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose

Stealing Two In Seattle: Is George Springer Back? | Yariel Rodriguez Masterclass | Jays vs Mariners
08/07/2024 Duração: 44minThe Toronto Blue Jays win a series for the first time since June 16th, beating the Seattle Mariners 2-1 this series. This weekend of baseball has been the most exciting Blue Jays baseball to watch in a long time, with all three games being decided by one run. The Blue Jays starting pitching was very good this weekend, getting great starts from Yariel Rodriguez and Kevin Gausman. George Springer continues to be dominant at the plate, hitting a three-run home run in game three, tying up the ball game and allowing it to go into extra innings. Daulton Varsho put on a defensive masterclass, making an unbelievable catch at the wall and a diving-rolling catch in center to double up the Mariners at second base. In this episode, we break down the Blue Jays and Mariners series game by game, analyzing the big plays, performances, and moments from over the weekend, as well as doing an in-depth dive into George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr’s performances throughout the season. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. *WANTS* To Be A Toronto Blue Jay For Life? What Changed From Last Week?
05/07/2024 Duração: 49minThe Toronto Blue Jays drop another series, this time to the Houston Astros, with a 5-3 loss yesterday. The bats looked alive in the first inning but the team couldn't get anything going after that. Bullpen Blunders: How Bad Is The Toronto Blue Jays Bullpen? Is It The Worst Bullpen In The Last 5 Years?
04/07/2024 Duração: 40minThe Toronto Blue Jays lost another game to the Houston Astros 9-2, and everything unraveled in the 6th inning of this ball game. It started with a horrible error by Zach Pop against the first batter of the inning, with a play where Pop simply missed a ball that was rolling at a snail's pace, unable to get the throw-off to first. After this play, everything went downhill. The Astros started stringing together hits, Jose Cuas was hitting batters left and right, and the bullpen completely fell apart, allowing 7 runs over four and a third innings. This offense did not show up either, only gathering five hits and two runs against Ronel Blanco and company. This game summed up the Blue Jays season: bad bullpen, bad offense, and good starting pitching. We break down the new batting order, individual player performances, and specific plays, as well as compare this current bullpen to another bullpen the Blue Jays had just a few years ago on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays. Should The Toronto Blue Jays Move On From Trevor Richards At The MLB Trade Deadline?
03/07/2024 Duração: 39minThe Toronto Blue Jays just barely held onto their 7-0 lead, winning the baseball game 7-6 against the Houston Astros. Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Spencer Horwitz, and George Springer stay hot, all picking up an extra-base hit with George Springers' 3-run home run being the biggest hit of the ball game. Jose Berrios looked great through the first 4 innings of the game, but pitching himself into a ton of trouble, allowing the Astros to score 5 runs in the fifth inning. A bullpen led by Nate Pearson, pitching 4 innings of 1 run, 0 earned run ball which was enough to keep the Blue Jays series hopes alive with a win. We break down the best hitters in the Blue Jays lineup, individual player performances, some more possibilities of trades, and all of the latest Blue Jays news and storylines on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassit

Is This A Lost Season For The Toronto Blue Jays? | Buy Or Sell At The Deadline?
02/07/2024 Duração: 40minThe Toronto Blue Jays have a rough 3 game stretch of baseball, going 1-2 and falling even farther away from .500. Vladimir Guerrero Jr was injured, IKF was hurt while he was stretching and Bo Bichette looks completely lost at the plate. Yariel Rodriguez had his best outing of the season, pitching into the 7th inning for the first time in his MLB career. When the dust settled, the Blue Jays spilt the series with the New York Yankees and lost the first game of the Astro’s series, looking to win 2 in row to get the series win. In this episode, we break down the weekend games of baseball, providing you with in depth analysis of player performances and the latest storylines that are circulating the Toronto Blue Jays. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Kevin Kiermaier,

Who Will Be The Toronto Blue Jays Core Going Into 2025 | Will Vladimir Guerrero Jr/Bichette Be Moved
01/07/2024 Duração: 44minIt is no secret that The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen has struggled immensely this entire season. With Jordan Romano’s struggles and injuries, Yimi Garcia’s injury, Erik Swanson horrific start and other players subpar outings, the bullpen has been as shaky as it was in 2021. But the bullpen misery was led by one player: Tim Mayza. Tim Mayza had a 1.52 era last season, and this season it is over 8. This led to the Blue Jays making the decision to DFA Mayza on Saturday morning. The bullpen has been a big reason for the Blue Jays struggles this season, but so has the offense. These offensive struggles have led to a lot of theories about who the Toronto Blue Jays should move on from at the deadline. We break down who we believe the Blue Jays should keep, and how the Jays subpar play has created false narratives. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Tu

Is George Springer The Key To Reviving the Toronto Blue Jays Offense? | Ross Atkins Press Conference/Bo Bichette Trade Rumors
28/06/2024 Duração: 38minThe Toronto Blue Jays beat up on the New York Yankees in the first game of the series winning 9-2. George Springer has looked unbelievable in the last two games, having three home runs and EIGHT RBI during that period. Maybe John Schneider was right, but we will have to see if George Springer can continue to be productive before we pump his tires too much. Vladimir Guerrero continues to stay hot, with another home run and a double in the first inning. This offense was firing on all cylinders, scoring five runs in the first inning, with their first five hitters all scoring. Jose Berrios did what he always does by giving the Blue Jays a very good chance to win. Ross Atkins had a press conference talking about the roster contruction and the future of the Toronto Blue Jays. We take a deep dive into this as well as some trade rumours about Bo Bichette and the likelihood of him being dealt at the trade deadline. Your Toronto Blue Jays Mid-Season MVP Award Goes To….. | Best And Worst Blue Jays Of 2024
27/06/2024 Duração: 41minThe Toronto Blue Jays had a rain delay in the last game of the Red Sox series, so we decided to do a version of a mid-season awards episode. We compiled a list of our top three players thus far on the Blue Jays, as well as our top three worst players so far this season, outlining the good, the bad, and the ugly. We did not include players like Spencer Horwitz or Addison Barger, as these players have not had enough time in the major leagues to have a significant impact on the team over a long period of time. Unfortunately with the way this season has went, it has a whole lot harder to pick out three of the worst players on the Blue Jays because there were so many options to choose from, but we believe we have selected the best possibly lists with the players we have. We also take the opportunity to preview the Yankees series over the weekend, as the Toronto Blue Jays take them on for a four-game set. Who has been the best player on the Toronto Blue Jays in 2024? Who has been the worst player? We have the answe

Will Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Be A New York Yankee Before The Season Is Over? | Toronto Blue Jays Playoff Odds
26/06/2024 Duração: 41minThe Toronto Blue Jays do the impossible: they actually won a baseball game. It feels like an eternity since the Blue Jays have won a baseball game, and it feels good to get a win even though the Jays are still 7 games below .500. Today was a complete team win, other than Vladimir Guererro Jr’s defense, but you get a quality start from Kevin Gausman, a shutdown day from the bullpen and a SEVEN run third inning that gave the team a comfortable lead early on. Vladimir Guererro Jr. had a great game offensively with two doubles and four RBI on the day but also had two bad errors that cost the Blue Jays a few runs. George Springer and Kevin Kiermaier combined for six hits in this ball game, being major contributors to the offense. In this episode, we break down the first win for the Blue Jays in over a week, big plays from the game, individual player performances, the Blue Jays' playoff chances and an article released by the score about Vladimir Guerrero Jr’s future with the Toronto Blue Jays. When Will The Blue Jays Firesale Begin? Which Blue Jays Will Get Traded First? | Worst Loss Of The Season
25/06/2024 Duração: 45minThe Toronto Blue Jays continue to surprise their fan base with new ways of losing baseball games. The Blue Jays were up 6-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning and ended up losing the baseball game 7-6. Chris Bassitt pitched seven innings of two-run ball and still did not get the win for his efforts. Kevin Kiermaier is missing balls in the outfield, Addison Barger is losing pop flies in the infield, and the bullpen found a way to throw away a massive start from Chris Bassitt. There would be an obvious step to take here: start the fire sale and the deconstruction of this roster. In this episode, we break down one of the worst losses of the entire season and who we believe would be among the players to be traded if the front office decides to make the right decision and sell players at the trade deadline. We cover all the newest Blue Jays news and storylines on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah

24/06/2024 Duração: 43minThe Toronto Blue Jays get swept by the Cleveland Guardians over the weekend. We decided to discuss which Toronto Blue Jays we think deserve to represent the American League in this years all star game. With how the Toronto Blue Jays have been playing, there are not a ton of players that should even be put in the same sentence as “all star”, but we should give the players that are performing their recognition for this moment. It’s no secret that the Toronto Blue Jays bullpen has been terrible this season. With the amount of injuries and some unexpected struggles, this bullpen can be compared to the Blue Jays bullpen from 2021. George Springer Is On The Verge of “Getting Hot” | Is John Schneider The Dumbest Manager In The MLB?
20/06/2024 Duração: 39minThe Toronto Blue Jays get swept by the Boston Red Sox. This was the first time the Blue Jays have been swept in a series all season. The Blue Jays played one of their worst baseball games of the entire season, going 1/15 with runners in scoring position, had 4 errors, and refused to get a 0 from the bullpen. The Cleveland Guardians series might as well not have happened, considering the Blue Jays are now 4 games below .500 on the season and are in last place in the AL East. When you think things cannot get any worse for the Blue Jays, John Schneider says in an interview that George Springer is very close to getting hot. In this episode, we discuss the John Schneider interview about George Springer expressing our feelings about the Toronto Blue Jays season, and John Schneider’s managing style. We analyze the third game of the Blue Jays and Red Sox series, breaking down individual player performances, key plays and the latest news and storylines about all things Toronto Blue Jays. Number 2 Prospect Orelvis Martinez Gets Called Up To The Toronto Blue Jays: What Will His Role Be?
19/06/2024 Duração: 37minThe Toronto Blue Jays lose again to the Boston Red Sox 4-3. This one hurt. The Blue Jays had the lead going into the 8th inning before a Tyler O’Niell home run and a Ceddanne Rafaela single put the Red Sox up 4-3. Chris Bassitt continues to have consistent starts, going six innings and only giving up two runs but continues to be let down by the Blue Jays' bullpen and offense. In more positive news, Ernie Clement continues to have a hot bat, driving in two runners after a double into the left-center gap in the second inning. Orelvis Martinez was also called up yesterday, getting the chance to start in the absence of Bo Bichette, having a right calf injury. The Buffalo Boys continue to have the best at-bats on this team, giving Blue Jays fans hope for the future of this ball club. In this episode, we break down the second game of the Blue Jays vs Red Sox series, break down Orelvis Martinez and his role on this Toronto Blue Jays team, as well as other individual performances, storylines, and the latest up-to-dat

Where Has The Power Gone? Will Anyone Join Daulton Varsho In Hitting 20+ Home Runs This Season?
18/06/2024 Duração: 45minThe Toronto Blue Jays lose the first game of the series to the Boston Red Sox 7-3. Yesui Kikuchi did not look good today, giving up four solo home runs in his 4 innings of work. Justin Turner had a good day, going 2/3 with a double and a home run. Ernie Clement continues to rake for the Blue Jays, going three for four and getting his batting over the last 7 games up to almost .700. Unfortunately for the Blue Jays, this loss puts them 2 games below .500 once again, continuing the road to .500 for at least two more games. The Blue Jays look to get back on track tomorrow against Tanner Houck, who has had an unbelievable start to his season. In this episode, we break down game one of the Red Sox and Blue Jays series, go into the Blue Jays' power numbers, rate the Blue Jays offensive output and try to find a fix to the power situation, as well as bring you the most up to date information about everything that has to do with the Toronto Blue Jays. Did The Blue Jays Gain Enough Momentum To Turn The Tide This Season? Blue Jays vs Guardians Series
17/06/2024 Duração: 38minThe Toronto Blue Jays get a massive series win against the Cleveland Guardians over the weekend. At the start of the weekend, we were feeling a lot different about this team than we are right now. The Buffalo Boys had a monster weekend, accounting for ten of the Blue Jays twenty-one hits, with Ernie Clement and Addison Barger leading the charge. The starting pitching performed great, as they have all season, and we got something that we are not accustomed to: The Blue Jays scored runs! They needed all seven of those runs in the third game, as Yimi Garcia did not have his best stuff, allowing two earned runs and forcing Nate Pearson to come in and save the day. Overall, this was a successful weekend for the Toronto Blue Jays, looking at it from the big picture. In this episode, we break down each game of the Blue Jays and Guardians series, look at George Springer and Ernie Clement in-depth, get into some other important moments over the weekend and bring you up to date with the latest news and storylines regar

Bashed By The Brewers: Could These Young Stars Spark The Blue Jays Offense?|Where Do We Go From Here
13/06/2024 Duração: 52minThe Toronto Blue Jays lose to the Milwaukee Brewers 5-4. Brayden is back on the podcast, as he is finally back from his 9th vacation of the year. The Blue Jays pulled their best trick out of their sleeve, the fake 9th-inning comeback. Davis Schneider had a home run in the first innings, and then the Blue Jays had one hit over the next 7 innings. They looked really good in the 9th, moving the game-tying run all the way to third base, but they were unable to cash it in. Chris Bassitt had some trouble with command today, having 4 walks over his five innings, but he did not give up a run, which is the most important statistic for the Toronto Blue Jays. Zach Pop and Tim Mayza did not have good days on the mound, giving up FIVE runs for their combined one inning of work. Unfortunately, this means that the Toronto Blue Jays are now two games under .500, and will now have to sweep the Cleveland Guardians to get over .500. In this episode, your hosts break down the game between the Blue Jays and the Brewers, getting i
