  • Episode 29: Fastlane 2018 Review

    12/03/2018 Duração: 42min

The final roadblock on the road to WrestleMania has been negotiated, as we look back on the Smackdown brand's Fastlane PPV event, which saw the mens and womens title matches set up, plus obvious directions for the US and tag titles. Raw was one-angle show, pretty much, but we discuss the main red-brand news, plus the rest of the news from the week including Jeff Hardy, new Championships coming to WWE and our match of the week is WrestleMania themed... Get involved tweet us your favourite non-main-event Mania matches - @ProperSport!

  • Episode 28: Rousey-McMahon like Austin-McMahon?

    05/03/2018 Duração: 28min

The last event before WrestleMania; Fastlane 2018 is this Sunday how will the #WWE fare as they gear #SDLive up for the biggest event of the year? Monday Night #Raw gave us a taster of what we expect to see at Mania from Ronda Rousey and Stephanie McMahon, with the plan for the Rowdy One to elevate Steph's status - will this be anything like Vince facing Stone Cold in the Attitude Era? Probably not. SmackDown Live geared up for their final single-branded pay-per-view by adding John Cena to the WWE Championship match making it a six-pack challenge. Neither Rich or Tom are overly looking forward to the show but would love to be surprised by a good show! Rich's match of the week to watch on the network varies with several recommendations, Tom gives a summary of the news of the week and what exactly is a Kennel of Hell match? All that and much more discussed on Proper Sport's weekly wrestling podcast - PS does WWE.

  • Episode 27: Double R Roman Reigns again

    26/02/2018 Duração: 40min

Light up your torch and grab your pitchforks as we get set for another WrestleMania with Roman Reigns in the main event. Tom & Rich review Elimination Chamber 2018. Two Chamber matches in one night and both were pretty decent, where does this leave Sasha Banks and Bayley? Richard makes the argument that Alexa Bliss is the best performer in #WWE despite not being the best wrestler.  Ronda Rousey signs her contract with #Raw but how did her first proper night with the company go? The lads also weigh up the expected match for the Rowdy One in New Orleans at Mania. Tom's tirade about #SDLive continues with his summary of every blue brand show in recent weeks and he argues with Roman winning (again) the marquee man for the year is once again ignored on the biggest stage? Plus the big news that Double J, Jeff Jarrett, is going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, all that and much more discussed on this week's edition of Proper Sport does WWE.

  • Episode 26: The Elite. THE THE ELITE

    19/02/2018 Duração: 29min

Ahead of Elimination Chamber 2018 Rich & Tom provide Proper Sport's weekly bite of #wrestling talk.  Richard shows Tom 'Big Sexy' Kevin Nash as the Wizard of Oz in WCW, on Raw the Monster Among Men Braun Strowman smashed a double bass over Elias, that's about the only thing you need to know from the red brand last week. SmackDown continues the stagnate despite adding two names into the #WWE title picture. Single brand pay-per-views are coming to an end after Fast Lane, is this good for the quality of shows but bad for the talent? The lads discuss that PLUS Richard's new favourite wrestling theme: The Elite. THE THE ELITE!

  • Episode 25: Triple H's slow start to running WWE?

    12/02/2018 Duração: 24min

Vince McMahon's plans for the XFL in 2020 means that less of his time will be focused on running WWE, signalled by his son-in-law Triple H taking over 205Live. Is he the man to take over control from Vince? Tom & Rich discuss. Raw saw Elias record the biggest win of his career over Braun Strowman and John Cena, Jason Jordan has had surgery but not before costing Reigns & Rollins a match and we take one step closer to Elimination Chamber with one spot for the men's match undecided.  Smackdown was a carbon copy of the past few weeks Tom argues, with it not being an enjoyable watch he goes on to have a bit of a rant about the blue brand. Plus Rich argues that Rusev should have been challenging for the WWE title rather than the US title! Plus if Ronda Rousey is in WWE to elevate Stephanie McMahon, what is she elevating her for? Big discussion as ever on this week's edition of PS does WWE.

  • Episode 24: Cute Alexa & Braun, dispute between Graves & Booker

    05/02/2018 Duração: 28min

Post Royal Rumble how did the red and blue brands do? Tom & Rich give their verdict and discuss the "cute moment" between Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman! On #Raw Sasha Banks needs to be more careful when diving out of the ring, she put on a brilliant match against Asuka but we need to wait and see if the Empress will challenge Bliss for the title after the announcement of the first all-women's Elimination Chamber. Why did Stephanie McMahon have to be involved? AGAIN. Happy Rusev Day over on SmackDown as Richard's boy RuRu won himself a US title shot and is it finally time #SDLive turned a corner or is it still on a downward decline, Tom suggests it's not been getting any better. On 205Live Rockstar Spud made his #WWE debut under a brand new name, maybe making the show worth a watch? Plus boy oh boy Booker T had some things to say about his former commentary colleague Corey Graves, things involving job changes, fighting and the like. All that and more discussed on this week's PS does WWE.

  • Episode 23 - Royal Rumble Review & Rowdy Ronda Rousey

    29/01/2018 Duração: 39min

What a weekend of wrestling which closed with the mega-star Ronda Rousey joining the WWE! Tom & Rich review the exciting Royal Rumble 2018! First up the dream match has been made for Wrestlemania when Shinsuke Nakamura won, perhaps the best Royal Rumble in recent years, and chose to face the WWE Champion AJ Styles. The men put on a great show with some really great moments including the returns of Rey Mysterio & The Hurricane! If you're going to make history with the first ever women's Rumble match then it had to be the main event, but Richard is not happy with the addition of Stephanie McMahon on commentary. It was a tribute to the women of the past who have helped pave the way to get to this point with returning stars such as; Molly Holly, Trish Stratus & Lita. It was the Empress of Tomorrow who came out victorious in a great match but did the shine get taken from her when 'Rowdy' Ronda Rousey made her long anticipated debut?! Tom discusses how this could be a game changer for the WWE. Plu

  • Episode 22 - Royal Rumble 2017 Preview

    26/01/2018 Duração: 22min

30 men and for the first time ever 30 women will be competing in the Royal Rumble, it's one of the most highly anticipated WWE events in the year and Tom Maguire & Richard Shaw-Wright preview the show. Betting markets are usually a good indication as to who could be the winner, but a surprise is typically expected at the Rumble so could we see a CM Punk return or a Ronda Rousey debut? It's the start of the Wrestlemania season so Tom & Rich look at the real contenders too. NXT Takeover Philadelphia happens the night before, we look set for another great event from the yellow WWE brand. Plus Vince McMahon has officially announced the rebirth of the XFL, seriously.

  • Episode 21: McMahon/Trump who do you trust more?

    22/01/2018 Duração: 33min

It's been 25 years since #WWE introduced the weekly wrestling programme Monday Night Raw and with the celebration of #Raw25, Tom & Rich take a look back at some of the best moments of the past 1,286 episodes. Mick Foley winning the championship, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon getting married, Dolph Ziggler cashing in, Roman Reigns' five word promo, Chris Jericho's debut, Daniel Bryan's Yes Movement occupies the ring and so many more moments have entertained wrestling fans for 25 years on #Raw. Plus with the #RoyalRumble days away there has been a few new additions to the roster and rumours of more to come!  All that and more discussed on this week's Proper Sport does WWE.

  • Episode 20: What now for Paige?

    15/01/2018 Duração: 34min

Sadly, it looks like the in-ring career of the first ever NXT Womens Champion Paige is at an end due to injury, so, on this week's PS does WWE, Tom and Richard look at the future for Paige, and where she could fit best and how she can still be the star of Absolution. There's a look back at the main happenings on Raw and Smackdown, early Royal Rumble picks and talk all the news as the build up to WrestleMania continues....

  • Episode 18: #WWEClash 2017 Review & Mixed Match Challenge

    18/12/2017 Duração: 18min

So how was the final #WWE pay-per-view in 2017? Pretty mild to be honest, Tom & Rich review Clash of Champions 2017! SmackDown Live see of the year in Boston by putting every title on team Blue on the line and there was really only one shock in the entire event as Dolph Ziggler won the United States title. Woo. The tag team titles were again a highlight of an ordinary night and the WWE Championship remains in the hands of the best wrestler on the brand rather than it being hindered by Jinder Mahal. Also Tom isn't happy with Bryon Saxton and his "moronic" character on the commentary. In the news Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho have sold their Wrestle Kingdom match perfectly, Facebook will be showing WWE content with the Mixed Match Challenge and #NXT made it's television broadcast debut. Plus Rich has TWO matches of the week! All and that and more discussed on this week's thrilling and exciting episode of PS does WWE.

  • Episode 17: Woken Matt Hardy & Ronda Rousey

    11/12/2017 Duração: 25min

The biggest female name in UFC is all set to join WWE, but will Ronda Rousey be a success in wrestling? Tom & Rich discuss. DELETE! DELETE! DELETE! Matt Hardy is finally broken once again, the most bizarre (but loved) gimmick is back in the wrestling world as he has been "woken". But will the Eater of Worlds Bray Wyatt stop the momentum? #SDLive is gearing up for #WWEClash with Shane McMahon in the card once again - whether he or Daniel Bryan will turn heel we'll have to wait and see. Is Jinder's push done and dusted thanks to the golden shovel of Triple H in New Delhi? Plenty to sink our teeth into with Tom Maguire and Richard Shaw-Wright on this week's edition of Proper Sport does WWE.

  • Episode 16: Loose Cannon and new women

    27/11/2017 Duração: 58min

Five new faces in the women's division of the main card and we're joined by the author of a new book about Brian Pillman's career. After a year and a half away from #WWE the female superstar Paige has returned but she's not alone with Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville, smart move? Plus Roman Reigns has yet another championship to hold on to. SmackDown welcomed three #NXT recruits; Ruby Rose, Liv Morgan and Sarah Morgan in pretty much the same fashion as the new Raw women! • Episode 15: Survivor Series & War Games review

    20/11/2017 Duração: 32min

The only night of the year Raw and SmackDown compete in head to head competition apparently. Tom & Rich review #WWE's 2017 edition of the Thanksgiving week tradition. Up first though was #NXTTakeover #WarGames after 20 years we saw two rings enclosed within a cage, but how was the old-match reboot? The Velveteen Dream also gained a new fan in Tom. AJ Style and Brock Lesnar seemed like a dream match we may never see but we did at #SurvivorSeries but did it deliver? Rich voices his opinion on the match and the guys debate about the main event not pushing their less established talent.

  • Episode 14: Booking a Women's Royal Rumble match

    13/11/2017 Duração: 46min

Survivor Series now has an insanely exciting match for it's main event with a new #WWE champ plus we book the first ever Women's Royal Rumble! It's all been happening on the WWE's European Tour, Raw and SmackDown have both crowned new champions, whilst Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been sent home! Are the two indie darlings in hot water? Survivor Series is right round the corner and Raw has new tag champions thanks to the New Day costing Ambrose & Rollins. It's surely a set up for The Shield vs The New Day isn't it?! Over on team blue Jinder Mahal had his best ever match as he lost the WWE championship, at long last, to AJ Styles setting up a mouth-watering clash against Brock Lesnar! Tom & Rich review the week in WWE including their trip to see the house show in Leeds. Then the guys discuss and debate their ideas for the first ever women's Royal Rumble match, because it's about damn time that there was one! All that and plenty of off-topic talk on this week's PS does WWE.

  • Episode 13: Omega vs Jericho is happening

    06/11/2017 Duração: 25min

Who is the "best in the world"; is it NJPW's Kenny Omega or WWE veteran Chris Jericho? We'll find out at Wrestle Kingdom 12 in January. It's shaken the wrestling community into a storm as IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega has accepted a challenge for a match against future WWE Hall of Famer 'Y2J' Chris Jericho at New Japan Pro Wrestling's biggest event of the year. But should Jericho be allowed to cross over to another company? Survivor Series is taking shape and Shane McMahon and Kurt Angle will be the male team captains, hopefully avoiding panes of glass. Could John Cena be making a special guest referee appereacne too? Proper Sport's resident wrestling "experts" Tom Maguire & Richard Shaw-Wright discuss all that and much more on this week's PS does WWE.

  • Episode 12: A glorious chat with Bobby Roode

    30/10/2017 Duração: 25min

Cue the best theme in wrestling today The Glorious One Bobby Roode speaks to Proper Sport on this week's edition of PS does #WWE! Much to the disappointment of many fans, the WWE has released Emma from her contract meaning so is no longer a part of the company. Tom & Rich discuss it being a shame and it possibly being the start of a cull of the current talent. TLC saw Kurt Angle return to in-ring action for the first time in WWE in 11 years, did the olympian make a grand return or did the main event drag on too long? Plus is SmackDown vs Raw at Survivor Series already looking poor? Richard argues it is, Tom isn't so sure. A jam packed podcast with wrestling chat and an interview with Bobby Roode on this week's PS doe WWE.

  • Episode 11: The Shield reunite + a chat with Becky Lynch

    20/10/2017 Duração: 26min

It's been a busy start to the autumnal period of #WWE so the lads review Hell in a Cell which has seen Shane McMahon jump off the cage and Sami Zayn turn heel and everything else happening over on the blue brand.
