It's autumn up here in our hemisphere. While leaves are falling, and the countdown clock is flipping closer and closer to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we're slating our Star Wars thirst with a bevy of Star Wars comics from Marvel and IDW Publishing, as well as a couple of young upstarts from down in central Florida, too.September's comics ran the gamut from Prequel Trilogy-era events in the Clone Warsto Original Trilogy-era nefariousness to Sequel Trilogy-era malfeasance. There was also a Dickensian-inspired Sithmas carol that brought us a bunch of Darths, including Bane, Malgusand Vader.Star Wars comics reviewed this month, include:_ Rogue One #6_ Star Wars #36_ Star Wars Annual #3_ Doctor Aphra #12_ Darth Vader #5_ Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi -- Captain Phasma #1 and #2_ Poe Dameron #19_ A Star Wars Comic #9_ Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic — Mace Windu #2

  • Comics With Kenobi #34

The summer has wound done, but the Star Wars comics show no sign of abating. August? It reached a new level, with 10 titles out last month. This episode has lots of conversation and constructive criticism, along with news you can use, including details about Si Spurrier joining the writing team with Kieron Gillen for Doctor Aphra, as well as Jason Aaron's dissection of his long run on Marvel's flagship monthly Star Wars title with SyFy Wire's Mike Avila.Given that Gillen is taking over for Aaron with issue 38, we thought it was mighty interesting that Salvador Larroca posted a picture of Benthic Two Tubes from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Of even more interest? His remarks to us via Twitter that he's got big plans for Benthic in Star Wars. And don't forget, this week marks the debut of IDW Publishing's Star Wars Adventures, so get ready and get your copies. (We've got some big plans for this new series. You'll see.)
