This episode was far better received than the last, as the doors into insights regarding the #CivicRepublic / #CivicRepublicMilitary nearly blow right open. It's almost as if the 1st two episodes either play on one another or were supposed to be a part of a larger, 2-part #SeasonPremiere. Either way, we're glad to have it, along with the introduction of "Dennis" ( #MaximilianOsinski ) and the return of fan-favorite #SilasPlaskett ( #HalCumpston )

You'd think, in the #TWD's final season, they wouldn't be introducing such fascinating characters like #LeahShaw, who is (as of the end of this episode) the #ReaperQueen. But here we are: Pope is dead (long live #RitchieCoster: a BRILLIANT actor, gone too soon), #DarylDixon, #MaggieRhee, #Negan, and Elijah are (hopefully) on the run, and who knows where Leah's mindset truly lies? Meanwhile, will #TheCommonwealth swoop in on time to assist #AlexandriaSafeZone or arrive amidst the aftermath, in order to salvage potential Nasties/Plebeians?

BE ON THE LOOKOUT for flying BONES that were PICKED this episode, as we sorted out the graveyard of hallucinatory misunderstandings and incredulous feats. That aside, although the Season 2 Premiere was on the underwhelming side, the implications set forth in this episode are anything but and allowed us to extrapolate a whole lot (we'd be lying if #MattNegrete's Inside the Episode exclusive, for #AMCPlus subscribers didn't help a bit, which is another critique on the episode)

This episode gave us so much to work with in terms of parallels: people mirroring other people and scenes mirroring other scenes. #TheReapers & #TheCommonwealth, more than any other theme, are the most representative of those contrasting themes: The former being the natural conclusion had out survivors remained in the wild ("kill them all") and the latter a result of having the shelter and luck to survive behind walls (preoccupation with the seemingly trivial). There were many bones to pick, but we sorted through them and came out on top - all while having some laughs along the way. I love the unedited version of this episode. So many mistakes! Director #ChristopherAlender not only answered our questions  about #TheOldWays, but was generous enough with his time to sit in on our #WatchParty, just prior! We not only got to find out about the #HappyAccidents throughout production and the twist and turns creating this movie took, but also a little bit more about Chris, himself: his background, the movies/narratives that inspire him as a film-maker, and what it took for him to release this movie as the pandemic hit - just after principle photography was filmed.

In all the years we've watched #TWD, we've only come so close to the kind of spooky episode we received this week. It's a terrific opportunity to chat with the cast & crew of our favorite #TWDUniverse shows, but it's a whole other thing to shift the the spotlight over to our friends and fellow creators. Linda's ascension to creator notoriety seemed fairly recent, as you'll hear in a moment: the appearance of #Negan / #JeffreyDeanMorgan on #TheWalkingDead her catalyst/muse. Little did we know it, going into this, how much relevance this discussion would have when it finally came to the upcoming season of TWD (#TWDSeason11), especially in relation to the tension/conflict between #Negan & #MaggieRhee / #MaggieGreene. Having the former's brutality seared (again) into our subconscious (while acknowledging our acceptance of him, be it begrudging or open) and also revisiting the latter's relevance in prep of her actual return. This discussion semi-neatly dovetailed into the Origins recaps of our four main characters: #DarylDixon, Maggie, Negan, and #CarolPeletier. Although it's mostly cons, when it comes to Origins, much like Negan, himself, there are some redeeming moments that make it a worthwhile watch, especially as a refresher after a 10 season run (with some gaps for breaks in #TWDSeason10). We wind back a couple of episode numbers to Episode 139 (Episodes 140 & 141 are dedicated to our interviews with Jenna Elfman & Bobbie Grace, respectively), where we finally recorded our thoughts on #FearTWD's Season 6 Finale. We had a very pleasant chat with Bobbie Grace, AKA Ranger Samuels from Fear The Walking Dead. Our conversation with her reminded me a lot of our conversation with Peggy Schott, especially when it came to describing the feeling of belonging to a large ensemble versus a short film. And, is it any coincidence that they are both gingers?

Something that probably should've happened a long time ago has finally arrived: our sit-down Jenna Elfman. We mainly discuss her process, which takes us on a journey through her acting life. As she guides us through the twists and turns throughout her career, while answering some fun(ny) questions along the way, we actually walk away with some fairly essential life lessons and go much deeper into her past than I ever thought we would. We're grateful that she was able to give us so much of herself and hope to do this again, soon!
