100NO 306: Synchronicity Part 2- Joining Dots, What If It Was All Meant To Be
10/02/2019 Duração: 28minWe continue our conversation on synchronicity and sliding doors moments with more real-life examples from our own personal lives and those of our friends. We share a recent story from Cyndi O’Meara about her unknown connection to Brandon Bays, plus we share some incredible family and career moments that go beyond the realm of random coincidence. Marcus recounts the dots that allowed him to first meet Damian (which actually began in Ireland), and Damian shares the synchronicity that allowed him to meet and eventually marry his wife, Amber. The lesson: don’t discount the synchronicity that has existed in your life. Take the time to reflect on your life with a series of “if, then” questions and particularly look at how some of the toughest moments in your life may have sowed the seeds of incredible gifts. ** LONGEVITY EXPERIENCE 2019 *** We’re off to the Greek Island where people forget to die – the exquisite Ikaria from September 4 to 13 this year. 100NO 305: Sliding Doors Moments & Synchronicity | Making Sense Of Hard Times
03/02/2019 Duração: 30minDo you remember the movie Sliding Doors with Gwyneth Paltrow? In this episode we reflect on how some of our guests have experienced great joy, love and success only after going through harrowing experiences. We use World War Two survivors Eddie Jaku and Ada Murkies as examples, who both fell in love with their life partners during or after the war. Would they have met their soulmates if it were not for the war? And then what of their children? Would they have been born? Marcus and Damian both share personal examples. Marcus wonders if he would have been born if his grandfather’s first wife didn’t die shortly after giving birth to their tenth child. And Damian reflects on how he met his wife, Amber, and the synchronous and sliding doors moments that brought the two of them together. An insightful, deep and meaningful episode of 100 Not Out. *** MORE DEEP & MEANINGFULS IN IKARIA *** If you loved this conversation, imagine doing it over looking the Aegean Sea on the Greek Island of Ikaria, also known as the

100NO 304: Was Jeanne Calment – the oldest person ever – a fraud?
27/01/2019 Duração: 26minControversy surrounds the longevity and genterology world with the possible indentity fraud committed by Yvonne Calment. A recent research project has claimed that Yvonne, Jeanne Calment’s daughter, may have taken over her mother’s identity in 1934 when Jeanne possibly died. The records stats that Yvonne, aged 36, is the one who died. Confused? Hang in there, this story gets juicier. Photos, anecdotal stories and physical milestones (such as Jeanne’s extraordinary height in her later years) add layer upon layer to this plausible but not definite outcome that Jeanne Calment as we know her was actually her daughter, Yvonne. To find out more, listen to this episode and then delve into this three part series of articles on Medium. ** 2019 Longevity Experience On The Greek Island Of Ikaria *** Join us from September 4-13 to live with the locals, drink the wine, harvest the olive oil and emulate the longevity lifestyle that sees Ikaria as the epicentre for ageing well in today’s world. 100NO 302: Damian’s 2019 Predictions For Food, Diet & Movement
13/01/2019 Duração: 29minAnother New Year, another set of predictions from Damian Kristof. Rarely does he get his predictions wrong (he did get one wrong a couple of years ago, which he shares in this episode). After a big year in 2018, what is the future of the vegan diet? What are the buzz terms will be looking out for and adding to our health vernacular in 2019, and what ingredients will be add and withdraw from our kitchen stable? If there’s anyone qualified to make considered predictions on the future of health and wellness, it’s Damo. 100NO 301: These 5 Questions Will Make Or Break Your 2019
06/01/2019 Duração: 31minThis time of year is rife with people setting goals and new years resolutions, quickly failing and then moving back in to the same old same old life of comfort and mediocrity. What if, instead of just trying to set a goal, we asked ourselves some deep and meaningful questions and actually honestly answered them? What if then we set “goals” (such a boring word) around those answers rather than what we see other people doing on our social feeds. In this episode of 100 Not Out, Marcus asks himself, and you, these five questions and provides his own answers, whilst also inviting you to do the same. The Five Key Questions Q1: Are you loving where you live? Q2: Are you loving how you spend your 9-5? Q3: Are you loving your rituals? Morning / Evening / Weekends / Any others? Share mine Q4: Are you loving the way you move? Q5: Are you loving the people you surround yourself with? LINKS In question 4, Marcus referred to the MOVI Workspace Desk. In Question 5, Marcus referred to The Wellness Basecamp in Fremantle, Newc

100NO 300: 300 Not Out | The Anger Crisis
30/12/2018 Duração: 31minThe triple century is raised on 100 Not Out as we celebrate almost six years of podcasting. As 2019 is upon us we discuss the unsavoury topic of the increase in anger humanity seems to be experiencing and expressing. No longer is our laissez-faire “she’ll be right” “no worries” attitude dictating our behaviour. Instead, we are a country angrier than ever. From road rage to social media rage and the overexaggeration of “bad things” happening to “good people”, we discuss the challenge and great opportunity to improve the quality of our lives by improving the strength and resiliences of our emotional and mental muscles. Wishing you an incredible 2019 ahead and we thank you so much for being a part of 300 wonderful episodes. *** OUR BIG EVENT IN 2019 *** Is our 10-day 100 Not Out Longevity Experience on the Greek Island of Ikaria. 100NO 299: Jan Smith And Her World Record Attempt
23/12/2018 Duração: 24minJan Smith is aiming to become the oldest woman ever to climb the seven highest mountains on the seven continents of planet Earth. She climbed Everest on her 68th birthday, and has gone on to climb peaks in Russia, Antarctica, Papua New Guinea, South American and Africa, with only Alaska’s Mt Denali eluding her. Having made two attempts so far, Jan has suffered numerous setbacks in her bid to claim the record. A diabetes diagnosis and a severe case of the Buruli ulcer have thwarted her attempts to complete the 7 Peaks by the age of 70. However, if Jan can climb Denali on or before her 75th birthday on May 26, she’ll have climbed the 7 peaks in 7 years – a truly remarkable effort. *** APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR GREEK ISLAND LONGEVITY EXPERIENCE 2019 *** How does 10 days on the “island where people forget to die” sound in 2019? 100NO 298: Mindfulness vs Awareness with Gary Douglas
16/12/2018 Duração: 29minThe concept of mindfulness has been around for 2500 years, but it is only recently that its popularity has sky-rocketed. These days, homes, schools, hospitals and workplaces around the world are filled with people purposefully and attentively living in the ‘present moment’. Now, here to kind of smash that glass and put all the pieces back together again in a more meaningful way is Gary Douglas … Gary is an internationally-recognized thought leader, bestselling author and founder of Access Consciousness®, a popular set of life-enhancing tools and philosophies. He celebrates the fact that more individuals are practicing mindfulness. However, he advises, there is a ‘next step’ in the journey toward living a more conscious life … and that is to learn the art of awareness. 25/11/2018 Duração: 41minHollywood actor Richard Gere calls him one of the world’s greatest living humanitarians The late Fred Hollows described him as a soul mate Fellow Eye Surgeons have called him the Steve Jobs of Opthalmology The people of Nepal simply call him The God Of Sight And the book by Australian journalist Ali Gripper profiling his life is called The Barefoot Surgeon Whatever label bestowed upon Nepal’s first ever Opthalmologist, words only go so far in portraying the remarkable impact Dr Sanduk Ruit has had and continues to have on humanity. He has personally restored sight to over 120,000 human beings – for our Australian listeners I want you to imagine a Melbourne Cricket Ground full of blind people, with 20,000 more waiting in line – all to be personally operated on by one man. 100NO 294: Why 84% of vegetarians and vegans return to meat
18/11/2018 Duração: 27minA study published in Psychology Today showed that 84% of vegetarians and vegans return to meat. The study showed a number of reasons why people return to meat, but also the motivation for giving it up in the first place are the topic of discussion on this episode. In the pursuit of ageing well, the 100 Not Out message is as much on HOW to eat as it is on WHAT to eat. We discuss how some people do “vegan well” whereas others are suffering from malnutrition, such is the poor quality of their diet. *** APPLICATIONS OPEN *** Our 2019 Longevity Experience to the Greek Island Blue Zone of Ikaria is now taking applications. 10 days of immersion on the island where people forget to die will be the highlight for 18 incredible people. 100NO 289: Seven Year Cycle On Health, Fertility, Ageing & Life
15/10/2018 Duração: 34minAccording to traditional Chinese medicine, the body progresses in cycles of seven years. The power of the seven year cycle is not exclusive to TCM, with astrology, traditional apprenticeships and many more areas of life controlled by the “power of seven”. In this episode we discuss the importance of the passing of time, whether it be for the attainment of healthy, empowered ageing, or whatever it is you want in life. 100NO 288: Why Women’s Health Gets More Coverage Than Men’s Health
07/10/2018 Duração: 26minDamian has just hosted an evening for men to discuss the stress response, mental health and how to reduce the impact that chronic stress can have on us. It raises interesting topics on health – More men die from prostate cancer than women do of breast cancer More men are diagnosed with prostate cancer than women are with breast cancer Suicide is more prevalent amongst men than women Why do women’s health topics get more coverage and awareness than mens? Marcus thinks the answer is pretty simple. An insightful episode on topics that are in the news at the moment. Damo is raising money for the Polished Man campaign, where he is wearing painted fingernails as part of raising awareness for childhood death (1 child dies every 5 minutes as a result of violence). 30/09/2018 Duração: 22minThe strawberry scandal has the possibility for a ripple effect that could be disastrous for the health of Australians. Marcus still holds the romantic notion that more farmers markets would prevent such a scandal, and Damian discusses just how poor some people’s diets might become as a result of fearing the purchase of fresh food.
