  • 313: How to Get Rid of ALL Your Problems

    11/03/2020 Duração: 49min

We all have problems, but how our problems affect us can differ greatly from one person to another. While one person might feel overwhelmed or even depressed by the problems we’re facing, someone else might actually feel optimistic and motivated, viewing their problems as opportunities for growth.  In the last year, I’ve dealt with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and severe sleep deprivation. And while these “problems” have been the most difficult I’ve ever dealt with (and am still dealing with), they have become my greatest opportunity for growth. If we can change and reframe our perceptions, we can have a better quality of life. If we realize that the word “problem” is simply a label we’ve given to situations, and which amplifies our worst feelings - we can use them as a way to better understand ourselves, learn, and, most importantly, work through them. In today’s solo episode, I want to show you how to look at “problems” through a new lens, shift your paradigm, and find not just solut

  • 312: 6 Years of Wisdom In 45 Minutes

    04/03/2020 Duração: 41min

Today’s Episode: “6 Years of Wisdom In 45 Minutes” is something very different. It’s an actual message taken from our Best Year Ever Blueprint (BYEB) Mentors program that we introduced this week. I asked Chip Franks to choose one of his favorite videos from inside the program, and to use the audio for this week’s Achieve Your Goals podcast episode, to give you some added value this week. This particular BYEB Mentors session that he chose features me, and my two dear friends, Jon Vroman and Jon Berghoff, sharing our most valuable lessons learned during the past 6 years of hosting the Best Year Ever Blueprint. And while I’ve been pretty open about my struggles this past year, I’d say this is the most vulnerable I’ve ever been. This session takes you really deep into my lowest point, the reasons why, and more importantly - what you can do now if you’re struggling, too. We also give you universally applicable self-awareness activities that you can immediately implement to improve any area of your life. This is s

  • 310: How to Solve the Biggest Problem Facing Humanity Today with Neale Donald Walsch

    19/02/2020 Duração: 01h01min

I’m beyond excited to share this week’s podcast with you, as I have literally been waiting for over 20 years to talk with today’s guest!  In 1999, I read the book Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch for the first time, but it wouldn’t be the last. In fact, you’ll hear today about how that one book has positively impacted my life more than any other.  In Neale’s newest book, The Essential Path: Making the Daring Decision to Be Who You Truly Are, he explores how feelings of alienation have created a world in which it’s always “us against them” - and why it’s time to question our basic assumptions about ourselves and each other, about life and how it works, about God, and what humanity is, in order to transform our world for the better. It is an honor to speak to Neale about the processes and the thinking that have inspired his work, the impact that he’s had on the world, and how we can each begin solving the biggest problem currently facing humanity.    Get The Full Show Notes To get full access to to

  • 309: Make Your Journaling Cosmic with Yanik Silver

    12/02/2020 Duração: 39min

Has Scribing (aka “Journaling”) transformed your life as it has mine? Needless to say, Scribing is a key part of the Miracle Morning S.A.V.E.R.S. and an incredible way to achieve breakthrough insights, solidify your commitments, experience more gratitude, and generate clarity and motivation on a daily basis. Yanik Silver is living proof of this. As someone I’ve admired for over a decade, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on his latest creation: The Cosmic Journal, in which he presents a hand-written, self-illustrated space for you to clarify your purpose, determine your destiny, tap into the invisible forces of the universe (stick with me), and galactic instruction manual to help you re-remember your highest self. Yanik is also the CEO of Maverick1000, a network of top entrepreneurs that assembles for breakthrough retreats, opportunities, and experience that to date has raised over $3 million for people in need by working with icons like Sir Richard Branson, Tony Hawk, Sara Blakely, Chris Blackwell, John Paul D

  • 308: The Power of Listening to Conscious Music with Drew Mcmanus

    05/02/2020 Duração: 32min

What kinds of music do you prefer to listen to? Do you ever consider how that music – and specifically the lyrics – might be impacting your subconscious mind? Personally, I used to listen to music based purely on the sound (see: hip-hop), and although I sang along (mindlessly), I typically didn’t pay much attention to the words I was singing, or the impact they might be having on my subconscious. For example, in high school, I regularly blasted rap music (such as Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre) through the speakers of my parents 1979 Toyota family sedan that they let me drive. :^) That was until a few years ago, when I discovered “conscious music.” What is conscious music? The word “conscious,” according to dictionary.com, means to “be aware of one’s own existence, sensations, thoughts, or surroundings.” So, conscious music would be that which enlightens one about the world around them. It is music that causes us to be aware of what’s going on and causes us to really think deepr about ourselves and our lives. C

  • 307: The Most Important Lessons I Learned from Jim Rohn with Kyle Wilson

    29/01/2020 Duração: 35min

Jim Rohn was one of my greatest mentors. He was a master of presenting complex ideas in an extraordinarily simple way, he was funny, and he had an incredible gift as a speaker and presenter. In fact, a single quote of his, “Your level of success will seldom exceed your level of personal development” was what inspired me to create the Miracle Morning. For 18 years, his business partner was Kyle Wilson - the founder of Jim Rohn International and YourSuccess.com. He worked to promote Jim all over the world, built a following of over a million subscribers, published over 100 hours of CDs and DVDs, and then sold everything in 2007 to have more time with his children. Since then, Kyle has become the author of multiple #1 bestsellers and provides coaching and consulting through the Kyle Wilson Inner Circle Mastermind. Today, Kyle joins the podcast to share lessons from his partnership with Jim. You’ll learn how Kyle took Jim from being owed almost half a million dollars to doing over 100 speaking engagements a year

  • 306: An Unconventional Approach to Modern Mindfulness with Cory Allen

    22/01/2020 Duração: 52min

Making mindfulness part of your daily life, especially when you’ve never done it before, can be incredibly difficult. In fact, many beginners struggle to stick with it. They get distracted by their thoughts, think that they’re not good enough at meditation, and ultimately give up before experiencing the life-enhancing benefits that are available to all of us. Cory Allen understands this well. He’s the host of the Astral Hustle podcast and author of Now Is The Way: An Unconventional Approach To Modern Mindfulness. In his book, he explores how to use mindfulness not as a means to chill out for a few minutes in the morning and at night, but a way to rewire and retrain your brain to be conscious and present all day long. Today, Cory joins the podcast to share what he’s learned from his countless conversations with leaders at the forefront of mindfulness, neuroscience, and philosophy. You’ll discover how his book addresses the complexities of modern society, technology, and the internet, none of which existed 50 y

  • 305: Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It with Kamal Ravikant

    15/01/2020 Duração: 50min

Few books have made as profound an impact on my life as much as Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It, as that one book quite possibly saved my life (literally). You’ll hear why that is today on the podcast, as I had the opportunity to engage in a highly anticipated conversation with the author of one of my all-time favorite books, Kamal Ravikant. Most importantly, you’re about to discover why loving yourself – actively and unconditionally – may be one of the most important things you can do, if not the single most important thing. Few understand this as well as Kamal. After his company in Silicon Valley collapsed and the love of his life left him, he fell into a deep depression. With his ego destroyed and his heart broken, he made a vow to love himself, then set out to do it - and this work changed his life. He shared his journey in a short self-published book, Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It. Almost half a million copies later, he joins the podcast to share how to take self-love from an empt

  • 304: You. Are. Perfect (How to Experience the Perfection in Yourself and Life)

    08/01/2020 Duração: 21min

On last week’s podcast, I shared “Why 2019 Was the Worst Year of My Life” (as in by far the most difficult). Being that open and vulnerable was challenging, but your feedback, love, and encouragement was incredible. It’s clear that a lot of us had hard years – and like me, you’re committing to making 2020 your best year ever. For me, this includes seeing and experiencing the perfection of our lives, and the true joy that comes along with seeing the perfection in yourself. This doesn’t mean that you’re without flaws, never do anything wrong, or that you’re infallible. It means that you see the messiness of life not as a cause for concern or pain, but as something you embrace to learn, grow, and expand your vision of perfection. It’s similar to how you might see and love a child – perfectly imperfect as they are constantly learning and evolving. After all, we’re really just children who have gotten older, and still have a lot to learn. :^) On today’s episode, you’ll learn how to work on experiencing your perfec

  • 303: Why 2019 Was My Worst Year (And 3 Steps to Make 2020 Your Best Year)

    01/01/2020 Duração: 31min

Today's episode was tough to record, as it's the most vulnerable I've ever been on the podcast. You'll hear me reveal why 2019 was the most difficult year of my life—by far. I spent most of the year suffering from debilitating anxiety, overwhelming depression, and driven by FEAR. For months, I suffered in silence, wondering what in the hell was wrong with me. I was afraid of being judged, of letting my friends and business partners down, and of never getting my sense of optimism back. Finally, I had to be willing to be vulnerable, to ask for help, and to make major changes in my life to ensure that my choices are guided by my highest values, in 2020 and beyond   Get The Full Show Notes To get full access to today's show notes, including audio, transcript, and links to all the resources mentioned, visit HalElrod.com/303   Subscribe, Rate & Review I would love if you could subscribe to the podcast and leave an honest rating & review. • 302: How to Achieve Your Family Goals in 2020

    26/12/2019 Duração: 01h01min

Whether you are an entrepreneur, parent, and/or a provider, it’s easy to forget that at the end of your life, your loved ones won’t remember the paychecks you took home, the mortgage payments you made, or even what you achieved in your career. What they will remember is the time you spent with them, who it helped them become, and how you contributed to their emotional well-being and quality of life. I learned this the hard way. When I was diagnosed with cancer several years ago, I said that my family was my number one priority, but my schedule didn’t tell the same story. I was a workaholic, but I was in denial. Thankfully, around that same time, one of my best friends, Jon Vroman, started Front Row Dads - a community for family men with businesses, not businessmen with families. Jon chose to step up and align his work with making his family this top priority, and his work has been hugely transformative for me and hundreds of others over the years. Today’s episode of the podcast, Jon interviews me about the ra

  • 301: How to Create an Accountability Process with Akshay Nanavati [Part 2]

    18/12/2019 Duração: 56min

In the last episode of the podcast, my Chief Miracle Worker, Chip Franks, spoke to author Akshay Nanavati about the profound benefits of utilizing accountability in our lives – and the power of having a dedicated accountability buddy – in order to help you achieve your goals.  Chip and Akshay also took things to the next level and even announced their own accountability partnership. If you haven’t listened to that episode yet, I highly recommend you click here to do so before you listen to this one. Today, we’re doing away with the traditional interview format to really explore what Chip and Akshay’s accountability partnership will mean for both of them. You’ll get a behind the scenes look at what this process looks like, discover how it can get a little messy (and why that’s okay), and hopefully get a sense of what could work to help you create a process - and partnership - of your own.   Get The Full Show Notes To get full access to today's show notes, including audio, transcript, and links to all the resou

  • 300: How to Get an Accountability Partner with Akshay Nanavati [Part 1]

    11/12/2019 Duração: 45min

Achieving anything worthwhile is difficult, especially when you decide to do it alone. Human beings are tribal creatures, and most of us can benefit from some form of structure and community to turn our biggest dreams into reality. In today’s special episode (Part 1 of 2), my Chief Miracle Worker and guest-host, Chip Franks, is talking with our friend, Akshay Nanavati, about the game-changing power of having an “accountability buddy” — someone who challenges you to move beyond your comfort zone, provides you with the extra support you need, and helps you to grow and improve in order to achieve your goals.  Akshay is the author of FEARVANA: The Revolutionary Science of How To Turn Fear into Health, Wealth, and Happiness, where he explores how to transform potentially negative feelings into incredible strengths, and has been recommended by Seth Godin, Cal Newport, and even His Holiness The Dalai Lama. Today, Chip and Akshay talk about the benefits of having an accountability buddy, why you need one as a high ac

  • 299: How We Can Transform Our Next Generation with Honorée Corder

    04/12/2019 Duração: 36min

When I first published The Miracle Morning back in 2012, I was thinking small. I was committed to sharing the daily practice that changed my life, but I was only thinking I’d sell a few thousand copies. But then I started seeing a flood of emails and reviews from people about how the Miracle Morning had enabled them to make profound transformations in their lives, as well, so I committed to a bigger mission of changing millions of lives, one morning at a time. Then, I met Honorée Corder. She was a bestselling author and strategic book coach whom had published dozens of her own personal development books. After getting to know her, I asked her if she’d partner with me to co-create the Miracle Morning book series. And the rest, as they say, is history. Our next book in the series was just released on Monday. It is The Miracle Morning for Teachers, and I believe it’s one of the most important we’ve ever written, as it is already improving the lives of teachers and students around the world. This book is truly de

  • 298: How to Tap Into Your Happiness with Active Appreciation with Chip Franks

    27/11/2019 Duração: 01h20min

As the name implies, the Thanksgiving holiday is generally a time to give thanks for everything that we’re grateful for – but is there more to it than that? Can there be more to your practice of gratitude than simply stating what you’re thankful for while you’re gathered around the dinner table this Thursday? In fact, there’s a huge difference between passive gratitude and active appreciation. People who practice active appreciation don’t just experience greater happiness in life - they have the power to change their brains for the better. Today, “Chief Miracle Worker” Chip Franks returns as our guest host to take you through the framework, exercises, and powerful quotes from thought leaders across history that inform his thinking. You’ll learn how Chip cultivates gratitude, active appreciation, and different techniques you can immediately apply to your own daily practice.   Get The Full Show Notes To get full access to today's show notes, including audio, transcript, and links to all the resources mentioned,

  • 296: Exploring the Link Between Stress and Chronic Illness with Cort Davies

    13/11/2019 Duração: 26min

Earlier this year, I accidentally FaceTimed a man named Julio. Julio had just raised approximately $80,000 on a GoFundMe for today’s guest, Cort Davies. At the time, I was in the process of starting a nonprofit that was to be called Support the Unsupported, and Cort was founding his own, doing exactly what I wanted to do. His nonprofit, Conscious Cancer, helps cancer patients get the knowledge, holistic resources, and money to help them navigate the stress of bills they can’t pay. He’s also creating a documentary, which led not just to him filming at my house but to us having a long conversation about transitioning from chemo to holistic medicine. Today, Cort joins the podcast to discuss how his cancer journey has reshaped his life and his relationship with chronic stress. You’ll learn how it gave him the power to become heart-centered, to live with compassion and empathy, and to kick major ass - and how he’s working to help others do the same.   Get The Full Show Notes To get full access to today's show note

  • BONUS: A Major Announcement and How to Make Difficult Decisions

    01/11/2019 Duração: 51min

In order for me to focus on my health (as I’m transitioning from chemotherapy to holistic treatments), I’ve recently had to make some very difficult decisions. On today’s special *BONUS* episode of the podcast, I’m sharing the biggest decision I’ve recently made—a HUGE announcement—and (most importantly) the process by which you can more easily and effectively make major decisions in your life. As a fellow human being, you know how much energy it takes to make decisions, no matter how simple they are. But when you’re facing a MAJOR decision—the kind that isn't black and white, where you might have multiple options, and where your actions could affect your life for months (or years) to come—making the right decision is often challenging. One of these decisions (which you’ll hear about in this episode), means that the upcoming Best Year Ever [Blueprint] live experience (taking place this December 13-15th) will be the last time we ever offer this event. If you’ve ever wanted to join me in person at the Best Y
